*Calling Darren*
"L-Leilah? Uhm.... How are you doing?"
I could tell that he wasn't expecting me to call at all... Which isn't surprising, considering that we haven't talked for weeks
"Hi Darren... I'm just fine. I-I just wanted to catch up with you. Can we meet up tomorrow?
"Uh yeah sure! What time do you want us to meet"
"I'm think we should meet around 8 tomorrow night at Wellston park... Are you available by then?
I know the park is kind of a weird place for us to meet... It's just that I can't talk about ZetaSci and what I've been doing for the last few years in a restaurant for everyone to hear
"The Park? Sure... I'll meet you there"
*sigh* that call was so awkward....
The Next Day, 8:50 AM, School Hallways
John's POV
Walking towards my first class of the day, I suddenly noticed something off on the day that I got ambushed after drinking at Woaba Boba
Why didn't I feel weak at all when I got ambushed that day... One of the guys did apparently say that I DID get dampened. Arlo and Elaine's ability felt weak back then, but none of the abilities that I copied felt weak this time... I did struggle on sensing the Auras though. That's why I didn't sense anything when someone crept up behind me through the wall
Wait a second... Don't tell me that I didn't feel weak because I didn't copy any abilities that IS weak... Back then, my barrier was weak because I copied Arlo's dampened barrier! So that's why when I copied the kidnappers shifting abilitiy to chase after Sera, it didn't feel weak at all!
Suddenly I got distracted by everyone whispering about me. I hate every second of it
"The fuck are you staring at!" I yelled in the middle of the hallway
"Eek!" The students all started to run further away from me
"Hey where are you all going! Aren't I just a stupid useless cripple?!" I asked sarcastically

7:53 PM, Wellston Park
Leilah's POV
As soon as I arrived... No one was there
*sigh* I figured I was too early... I mean it's not even 8 o'clock yet
I sat at the lonely bench at the park accompanied by the street light above the bench, surrounded by trees and bushes... So peaceful that I can hear the cold wind. Appreciating this moment because there's barely anything peaceful in my life
If only the world can be peaceful...
Why are we even being given abilities?
Is it just to abuse it?
Is it just to show dominance?
High tiers don't even have to work for it to have what they want, therefore makes them ignorant about what's going on on the lower tiers
When I first read the book 'UNORDINARY' it instantly opened my eyes... Gave me insight on what it would be like to live in a world where supernatural abilities are non-existent, and how society would work. How people would treat each other respectively without worrying what abilities they have
"Leilah? Wow I thought I was early but I guess not... Quiet a place you picked. I actually like the calmness once in a while" Said Darren while proceeding to sit next to me
"Hi Darren... How's work going for you?"
"Oh it's this and that... Nothing crazy. How about you? You look kinda down... You okay?"
"O-Oh I just have a lot of stuff in mind... Darren, about the girl you mentioned on our last date... she's actually my-"
"Your sister? Yeah I just found that out recently hahaha..." Darren gave an awkward laugh
"W-What? how did you found that out?" I asked surprised at Darren's sudden response
"Seraphina and her friend actually investigated it and it led them... Well, to you"
So Sera still have friend after losing her ability? Thank god... I was all alone while I was still a low tier back then. Even my own family treated me a bit differently
Wait, so if Darren knows...
"Darren, s-so you know what I'm actually doing in ZetaSci? If you know, then... Aren't you scared of me?"
"Scared of you? No, I know you're better than that... but why are you taking away people's abilities away?"
