Hunter’s POV-
“Yeah?” I say eagerly, realizing that it’s Alex. One of the people looking for Mallory, “did you find her?”
“We’re not sure,” he says. “We need you to come to the police station and see if it’s her.”
“I’m on my way.”
I turn around in someone’s driveway and go towards where I have to be. When I pull in and walk inside, someone asks me what I’m there for. When I tell them, the lady leads me down a hallway. My heart is beating fast. Whoever they found, I didn’t know if they were dead or alive.
I’m leaded into a room. When I look up, my eyes meet a familiar pair of blue eyes.
“Is that her?” Alex asks me.
It is. That’s Mallory sitting right in front of me.
“Yes! That’s her!”
I walk towards her and wrap my arms around her waist, “I missed you so much, Mal.” I say and realize that I’m crying. I’m happy she’s alive and now she’s safe. I expect her to say that she’s missed me too, but she’s giving me a confused look.
I look up at her and smile, “I love you so much, Mallory.”
My smile fades when I hear her response.
“Do I know you?"
