      "Edward Cullen came back yesterday," Bella mentioned she placed the plate full of fruit down in front of Annie.

"Thanks, Aunty!" The doe-eyed five year old immediately grabbed onto the bright red strawberry before placing it in her mouth.

Christina looked up from fixing her scrubs. "And?"

Bella sighed. A slight blush appearing on the younger sister's face. "And he was very nice. He apologized about last week, and explained that he was absent because he had to go help his cousins."

"So, you worried over nothing?" Christina teased, fighting her top scrub over her tank top. "Like usual."

"Yes, Nina," Bella sighed. "You were right."

The brunette shrugged her shoulders lightly. "I'm just happy that I don't have to go down and talk to him myself."

Bella mumbled under her breath, "me too."

Christina grabbed her rover's keys and swung her bag over her shoulder. "Ready to go, love?" Annie looked up before giving her mom a smile in answer. "I'll see you later, Bella."

"See ya."

"I'm telling you, he was totally giving me the fuck me eyes."

Christina burst out in laughter as Darien explained his late-night adventure into Port Angeles. She had slowly become closer to Darien in the few days that they've had to spend together. It was easy to like him; he was brutally honest with a good sense of humor.

"Alright, alright." Darien waved his ebony hand in her face. "Next time I'm going to bar hop in Port Angeles, you're coming with me. I need to prove that that bartender was cute, and had the hots for me."

Christina shook her head. "Oh, no. I have Annie, I can't just go to a bar. I'm a mother."

"All the more reason to," Darien smirked. "Listen, you're twenty-one years old and you've never bought yourself a drink?" Christina shook her head in answer. "Girl, you've been an adult since you were sixteen. I'm sure you can find a babysitter for one night."

Christina laughed. "I'll think about it."

"You bet you will." Darien nodded. "Alright, next on our list is—"
