"So now that tour's almost over, what's next for you guys," the interviewer asked, curiously looking between Ryan and Dallon.

"Uhm, I guess we're gonna take some vacation," Ryan answered, when Dallon did not react, "you know, relax a little, sleep in our own beds, visit family..." Again he looked over to Dallon, expecting him to add something, but Dallon did not seem to notice, so Ryan continued, "and then hopefully some songwriting, maybe we'll even finally be able to record something."

The interviewer nodded, listening carefully, and asked a follow up question, but in Dallon's mind all the sounds blurred together while he was too distracted by your presence at the side next to the camera. You had been on several tours with them, for months now, and he knew you had put a spell on him the first moment he had laid eyes on you. Honestly: he had hoped the feelings for you would go away, his fluttering heart would calm down, but instead he had completely fallen in love with you. He could only guess what drew him in. Maybe it was the sparkle of mischief with which you walked through the day, loving to prank people here and there, or tell stupid jokes, or maybe it was the way you never gave up, even when the situation seemed hopeless. It could also have been the pure joy with which you seemed to live, or maybe the complicated thoughts you only told him during late night discussions over marshmallows and hot chocolate. And maybe it was a mix of all of that; your pretty face and the sassy comments topping everything off.

But now tour was almost over, and he was not sure if you would be with them on the next tour, whenever that would be. And so he had made a decision. Or rather: Ryan had made a decision for him, after Dallon had told him about his feelings for you yesterday. Not that any of this came as a big surprise to Ryan. In fact he had thought the two of you had already admitted your feelings for each other, judging the way you always followed each other around, sat too close, and finished each other's sentences. Dallon had been rather shocked by Ryan's observation, not having realised that he did any of these things, but it gave him the courage to do what he was about to do.

After the interviewer had thanked Dallon and Ryan, even though really it had been Ryan who had answered about ninety percent of the questions, because Dallon had been too busy staring at you, Dallon walked over to where you just got up from your chair next to the camera man.

"I've never seen how an interview gets recorded," you explained, when you saw Dallon's raised eyebrow at your huge smile, "this is so interesting, all the cameras recording from different angles, and you need to control all of them..."

Dallon listened to your rambling, fascinated how you were so excited about something he did not even pay any special thoughts to. You had asked to be here, to watch the interview being made, and Dallon knew it had been right to take you along. You would not shut up about what you had seen, talking like a waterfall, your eyes shining with excitement, as you pulled Dallon over to a control station to show him something. Ryan had already left, and other than a technician who fixed something with the lights, you were alone in the room.

"And then they need to cut it all together, choose when they want which perspective," you continued explaining, your tongue darting out, and wetting your dry lips, immediately pulling Dallon's attention away from your words again, and to your lips instead. "But of course you know all that," you added, and the enthusiasm had faded from your voice, making Dallon look back up at your eyes with confusion, "I'll shut up now, sorry."

He hated it when you did that. It might be the only flaw he could find on you, the fact that you always apologized after having been talking about something you were interested in. He knew it was probably because at some point somebody had told you to shut up, when you had been talking about something that made you happy, and it had hurt you so deeply, that you still apologised. He knew that feeling, he had done that too. Not anymore. But it still broke his heart when you apologized to him like that, broke his heart how you looked away with guilt in your eyes, as if you had done something wrong.

All he wanted to do was to gently shake some sense into you, tell you how much he loved to hear you talk about whatever you were interested in. Because he was interested in you, and the things that made you curious were a part of you, and he wanted to learn as much about you as possible. Not to mention how much he loved to hear your voice and how proud he felt when he saw that sparkle in your eyes.

But he did not shake you, did not say a word. Instead he took a quick step forward to catch up with you. You had already turned to the side to walk away, but he quickly grabbed your elbow and pulled you to him, before leaning down to press his lips against yours in a quick kiss you were completely unprepared for.

Truthfully, for months you had been having trouble to think about Dallon in any other way than a romantic one, and you had to admit that you had been thinking, hell, a couple of times even been dreaming, about him kissing you, but never, never would you have considered it a possibility for it to actually happen. Now that it did, his hand closed around your arm, not tight, just enough to make you feel that he wanted you there, you were actually shocked.

It took you well a couple of seconds until your mind had finally processed what was going on, and allowed your body to react. Dallon had already given up hope for a positive outcome of his daring action, and was about to let go of you, (and then probably run away and hide under a stone for the rest of his live,) when you suddenly moved your hand to the back of his head, and pulled him in closer. A shiver ran down his spine, and feeling a little more courageous, he wrapped his arms around you.

The romantic moment was interrupted by the technician who dropped a screwdriver at the other side of the room, reminding you that you were not alone, even though the relative darkness behind the cameras seemed to hide you.

Giggling quietly you pulled away, your hand gently running down the side of Dallon's face.

"What was that," you asked softly, a loving smile on your lips.

"I- I wanted to do that for months now, and- I really, really like you, but you need to stop apologizing when you get excited," Dallon laughed quietly, making you blush "you know, just when I think 'whoa, (y/n)'s so happy' you start apologizing. It ruins the mood."

You laughed too at the offence he took in your apology, and shook your head.

"I'll try to remember it for the next time," you shrugged, "but then again, maybe I want you to shut up my apologies?"

"Oh, you just have to tell me darling, and I'll even kiss you just like that," Dallon offered, gently poking you in the side, making you squeal.

"Okay, I think I want another kiss then," you decided, grabbing Dallon's hand with which he was still trying to poke you.

"I think I can help with that," Dallon grinned, and pulled you in for another kiss.
