Faith's POV

"Yeah. I talked it over with my husband and I think it's time that I take a step back for a while." I said with my phone to my ear.

"Are you sure Faith? Your big promotion is coming up." My boss said on the other end.

I kept my eyes on my family in front of me. Seeing them smiling and happy to see their dad alive and well.

"Yes sir I'm sure. Thank you for all of the opportunities and the experiences."

He sighed. "I hate to see you go but I understand. Listen Faith. If you ever want to come back, the job is yours. You're the best at what you do."

"Thank you. I appreciate it. Take care sir." I hung after we said goodbye and went back over to them.

I just got finished doing something I hadn't planned on doing until I retired. I resigned from my job. With everything going on, I felt it was time to dedicate my time to my family.

We have more than enough money and I'm still getting steady and large sums of money from my stores. I'm just a hard worker. I plan ahead and Dave is the same way. I think that's one of the reasons we click so well.

Today Dave comes home after being in here for a week. He's ready to go and I'm ready to be stingy with him. I missed my zaddy.

Right now we're waiting on the trainer to come in and introduce himself. He works with the doctors and patients here but we were able to get him to come to our house.

"Boo." He got my attention. "I need something good to eat when I get out of here." He was sitting on the side of the bed with his jogging suit on.

"What do you want to eat?"

He smirked. "You." He mouthed.

"Yo." Kaiden lifted his hands in a confused way when he saw what Dave said. "You know what, I'm not even going to say anything cause I should've been looking at my phone." He looked down and at his phone.

"Exactly." His dad said to him then directed his attention back to me. "Ummm I want something good boo. I haven't had a nice meal in forever."

"Why do you insist on calling me that? You know I don't like it." I chuckled.

"Oh well. It's cute." He shrugged.

"Mhm sure." I playfully rolled my eyes. "I'll make your favorites. Well I'll try."

Cooking meat has been a struggle for me. This pregnancy has been making my stomach turn at the sight and the smell of it. He loves steak and I haven't tried making that yet so hopefully I can do it.

"Damn we got a lot of birthdays coming up fast. Thanksgiving and Christmas." Dave said and shook his head. He groaned in pain when he picked Imani up.

"First. Put her down. You know you're not supposed to pick up anything over five pounds and as you can see and feel, she's well over that." I took her from him.

"Second. I know. Ugh time is moving so fast. My babies are about to be nine and my little baby is about be one. Then I gotta cook Thanksgiving by myself and for Christmas. I'm already stressed." I sighed at the thought of all of the things I need to do.

"Well it's a good thing you're a stay at home mom and wife now."

"Pause. Tuh. No. I will definitely still be in and out of the store but majority of my time will be spent at home. I'd get too bored if I did that."

"Yeah aight." He looked at me as if he didn't believe me. "How did your phone call go? Everything straight?"

"Yeah. He said if I ever decide to come back that I could have my job back."
