I don't know how exactly it happened. If I'm honest it all seemed like a big blur. One minute I'm waiting for kickoff. Then I'm about to take a shot on Sweden's goals and then nothing. Well no that's a lie, there was pain a lot of pain.

I blink my eyes trying to clear my vision. I tried to move my leg only to feel pain shoot up through my left leg. I dig my fingers into the turf desperately trying to distract myself from the pain. I can hear shouting from all around me and I try to prop myself up in my arm but soon someone's standing over me.

"Elliot don't move just stay down okay?" I blink and see Christen and Kling kneeling over. I try to look over their shoulders and see what's happening and I can vaguely see a bunch of US players surrounding someone and the ref blowing up his whistle. "What happened?" I grunt out as my leg shifts a bit.

The two players share a worried glance. "A Sweden player went in for a tackle and hit your ankle. It looked like her head hit the ground hard when you fell as well" Christen whispers. I nod and start to hear more yelling as I can pick out Kelley, Alex and Tobin's voices over everyone else. I grab Christen's hand, "Go stop them before someone gets carded". She looks reluctant to leave but Kling speaks up, "Go I'll stay with her".

She nods and rushes off to try and stop our teammates from getting sent off. Finally the medic is here and start to assess me. I can hear Kling talking to the medic but I'm focused on the group of girls behind her.

"How is that only a yellow?! She didn't even go for the ball?" Alex shouts in the refs face. Julie is trying to pull her away before she gets carded as well but it's proving difficult to do it looks like. I look to her right where Kelley and Tobin are going after the Sweden player who I'm guessing fouled me while christen tries to pull them apart. "You knew that was a dirty tackle and you still went for it. What were you thinking?" Kelley shoves her back. And Tobin is right behind her getting in the players face, "If you go anyway near her again, I'll make sure you won't walk off this pitch".

The pitch was in total chaos as now the rest of the Sweden team tried to back up their teammate. But that didn't deter Kelley and Tobin, they looked ready to take on the whole Sweden team if necessary. Mal and Alex joined the fray while the ref failed to break up the two teams.

The medic was trying to talk to me but I wasn't paying attention. "Tobin! Tobin!" I shout but it doesn't look like she heard. I turn to Kling, "Can you get Tobin and the others?" She nods rapidly and runs off to Tobin and the others and whispers in her ear. Tobin immediately whips around and looks at me.

She along with the rest of the girls immediately rush to me. Tobin crouches down beside me, "Elliot you okay? You hurt?" I lean into her and hold her hand, "Tobs my ankle. It really hurts". Tobin squeezes my hand and looks at my ankle and then the medic, "How bad does it look?" He shakes his head and makes a gesture to the sub bench, "I don't think it's broken but she definitely can't play on. It looks like she might have a minor concussion as well".

Tobin's eyes narrow and she lets out a low growl before trying to stand up, but I grab her arm before she can get anywhere, "Tobs don't". "They hurt you" she growls glaring at the Swedish player. "Yeah but if you get set off that's helping no one. So hit them where it hurts and help win this match" I whisper through the pain. She looks at me and nods.

"Can you stand?" The medic asks. I grunt and wordlessly nod my head. I'm helped pulled to my feet but I don't out pressure on my left leg. Tobin and Alex stand both side of me acting as a temporary crutch. The stadium claps as I'm helped off the pitch. I can see Ash and Alyssa waiting at the sideline waiting to take me off them. Before they run back onto the field to continue the match I turn back to them, "Kick their asses". They both smile and nod before running back onto the pitch.
