"Cmon Lee we have to go!" Jess tells me but I shove my face further into my pillow, "Nooo Jess I'm tired". Suddenly my pillow is yanked out from under my head and I'm hit with it, "Lee we have training". I hold the blanket tighter pulling it closer to me, "Freckles I'm tried".

I hear her sigh and lies down beside me pulling the blanket back just enough to uncover my eyes as they lock with her warm brown orbs, "I know your tired Lee but we have to go. We have our senior day and college cup coming cup". She brushes a strand of hair behind my ear, "But I promise after training we'll come back and relax. Just the two of us".

I pout and sigh but I peek my hand out holding out my pinkie, "Promise?" She smiles and links her pinkie with mine, "I promise. Now get up". I groan but sit up, "Fine but only because I want cuddles later". She gives me a peck before pulling me up out of the bed, "Deal now get ready!"

I slowly get ready pulling on a random jersey and shorts along with Jessie's blue UCLA hoodie. We grab our bags before we head out to the field. "Why is it raining?" I whine as we hurry into the locker room. Jessie chuckles making me glare at her, "It just isn't your day is it?" Before I could snap back we walk into the locker room to be met by Teagan, "Hey guys!" Jessie waves at her while I stomp over to my cubbie.

"Who pissed in your cereal?" Teagan asks while I just give her the finger while I slip off my shoes. Jessie rolls her eyes before she walks over and stands in front of me making me look up at her, "You need to calm down". I narrow my eyes at her but all she does is reach around behind me and starts running her fingers through my hair. I sigh and relax leaning my head into her stomach and hug my arms around her legs.

We stay like that for a minute or two before she pulls away and look at me, "An hour and a half and then we're gone okay?" I nod and continue to put on my cleats while she goes to her cubbie two down from me. I could see Teagan give Jessie and I odd looks but I ignore it not feeling up for it today.

We started training as usual everyone going hard with the matches coming up trying to get on the starting line up. The rain was getting really heavy but it didn't deter any of us as we kept going. Coach said all we had were sprints and then we were free to go. I grin at my girlfriend, "Wanna have some fun?"

She stands with her hands on her hips as she quirks an eyebrow at me, "What are you thinking about?" I kick my foot on the turf splashing up some water, "Who needs a slide when you have this much water?" She grins and looks at the water pooling on the turf, "Oh yeah". We tell the team what we're planning and they are fully on board.

Jess and I are both apart of the first group running. As we reach the line we launch ourselves forward on our stomachs as we slide across the turf. I laugh as I watch Jessie push herself up from the ground her shorts and t-shirt clinging to her. She walks over to me and nudges me with her foot, "Cmon Lee get up". But I just grin and grab her ankle and tug making her fall but I catch her before she hits the ground. She lets out a laugh as she stares down at me, "What am I going to do with you?"

I wiggle my eyebrows playfully at her, "There's a lot of things you could do to me". She slaps my arm but she can't hold back the laugh she lets out. I just smile up at her. Who cares if the rain was falling around us all I focused on was her. We were both drenched. Her baby hairs stuck to her face from the rain but even in the rain her cheek were still their usual rosy red colour. Honestly in that moment I could have stayed they're forever even if it meant getting a cold.

Because I had Jessie and that's all I needed

I think Jess realised I was off in my own world and snapped me out of it, "Cmon up you get Lee". Jessie pushes herself off me before pulling me up as well. But I don't let her go far as I immediately pull her into a hug putting my chin on her shoulder as we rock side to side.
