"So, you plan on sneaking out later?" Charlotte asked as we sat down in the living room.

Sitting across from her, I shook my head, "Nope. Planned on asking you first this time."

She laughed as she rested against the back of the couch, "Well, could be worse,  I guess."

"They need my help later. I need you to trust that I will always come back. I told you what was going on because  I was worried, but I can't let you stop me from helping them."

Charlotte took a moment to consider, before nodding slowly, "I understand. But if anything goes wrong, you contact me straight away. Got it?"

"Of course. But until then, can we please do something normal? Like watch a movie?"

"Sure," my sister smiled. "Go pick something out and I'll heat up some food."

Stiles was back at my house at around quarter to ten and from there we headed straight to the sheriff's station. I tried to talk to him about what we were about to do, but he kept trying to play it off as if it were no big deal.

"Stiles, what about your dad?"

He shook his head a little, "They're not going to find out. They'll be in and out. I trust Scott."

"So do I," I said quickly. "Don't get me wrong, I trust Scott with my life. But this is your dad's job, Stiles."

Stiles just repeated himself, saying it would be fine. Before I could say anything else, we were at the sheriff's station. Scott was already there when we arrived, waiting by his bike with Kira.

When they saw us drive up, they began to walk over to the car. Stiles put the Jeep into park and rolled down the window. He proceeded to hold up a set of keycards to show Scott.
"Okay, this one will get you into all of the perimeter doors, this one into the evidence room, and this one's for my father's office." He pointed to each card in order, making sure that Scott knew which was which.

"You didn't steal these, did you?" Scott asked the boy as he took the keys from him.

Stiles looked at me to see that I was also curious for the answer to this question. "No. I cloned them using the RFID emulator."

Scott's brows pulled together as he looked up from the cards, "Is that worse than stealing?"

"It's smarter."

"And probably worse," I sighed. "Can we move this along before someone sees us? Please?"

Kira grabbed Scott's arm all of a suddenly, slowly walking him away from us, asking if she could ask him something. Stiles turned to me, but I just shrugged. I wasn't going to listen in on Scott's conversation.

Friends were where I drew the line with my abilities. If I couldn't trust them, then they couldn't trust me.

My boyfriend looked back out the window at out friend, nodding slightly.
"Guess we'll just. . . wait here. I guess," I sighed.

They spoke for only a moment, before heading back over to us. Stiles looked at them both to make sure they were done, before he continued with telling them how to get into the station without getting caught.

"Okay. So now almost everybody's out dealing with the blackout. But there's always somebody at the front desk. There's Dispatch and usually a night shifter or two. You guys are gonna use the service door entrance by the dumpster," he pointed down to a door on the side of the building. "All right? Nobody uses it."
