GOODBYE TERESA ANGES

THOMAS GASPED AWAKE, AND A STINGING PAIN ENTERED INTO HIS ARM. Teresa was hovering over him and taking his blood as much as she could get while he was still asleep. Scarlett laid in the corner, her body sprawled out on the floor, and her lips were parted slightly. When he registered where he was, he shook the ropes that were tied around his wrists trying to get out.

He looked around the room breathing heavily, he noticed her lying on the ground. He laid his head back down registering that the strawberry blonde was still alive and that it was all just a dream. "It was just a dream," he breathed out, still struggling to get out of the ropes tight grasp.

"What was that?" Janson asked. Thomas didn't answer. "Never mind. How much longer?" He asked Teresa who was fixing up the solution.

"Almost done." She replied. The dream he had was all too real. It felt real, it seemed real. It was a bad, bad dream. "Why don't you just kill me?" Thomas asked. Janson walked over to him, a smirk on his face. "No, we don't want to do that. We're gonna take special care of you. We'll keep you alive. Just-" Thomas lifted up his body but was only pulled back down. "In return you will give lives to the rest of us. Ones we chose to save, anyway." He then turned, reaching for the serum tube on the counter and turning it on.

"Of course there's not gonna be enough for everyone. Hard choices are gonna be made. In time, the flare virus will cure its self. The only question is... who will be the ones left standing?" Thomas wouldn't stop trying to get out of the chair. As much as he tried he couldn't get out. He wanted to wake up Scarlett, tell her that it's gonna be alright. It was no use. No use at all.

"Thanks to you, to this... we finally get to chose a future of our own making..." Janson lifted up his sleeve until Teresa reached for a large glass jar, and smashed it across his head. The man fell to the ground and landed with a thump, the serum rolling out of his hand and on the ground.

"Okay, lets get you out of here," Teresa said to Thomas, rushing over to him and un tying his ropes. Scarlett's eyes opened, her vision a little blurry still, but she knew who was who in the room. "Teresa," Scarlett whispered. She saw Janson wake up, her eyes widening. "Teresa!"

Just as Teresa was finishing to untie Thomas, Janson popped up behind her, blood pouring from a cut on his head and grabbed Teresa's body. He threw her across the room, and Teresa landed on the ground with glass flying everywhere, her head smacking on the concrete. Her vision became blurry and Scarlett stood up. "No!" She yelled. Her legs wobbled and she stumbled as she made her way over to Teresa.

Instead she dropped to her hands and knees, crawled over to her, tried to shake her awake.

"Terry, Teresa, please. Wake up," Scarlett said.
