9 months later..."AHHH!" Jennie screamed in pain, pushing as hard as she could to pop out the baby.
She screamed curses as her death grip on Yoongi made him wince at her nails digging into his sugary wrists. The same for Sunmi, who calmed Jennie down like how her mother did to her during birth.
Bogum stood outside of the room, not wanting to see or hear anything going on. He was already traumatized with the birth of Yoongi, and he didn't want to get even more traumatized with his grandson.
"There's the head," The nurse announced. "Keep pushing! Keep pushing almost there!"
"Oh my god," Yoongi squinted his eyes at the sight of blood. "Oh my god."
"Don't look Yoongi," Sunmi said, while trying to calm Jennie.
A part of him wanted to join his dad outside. But he wasn't gonna do his sister like that, and he didn't want to be alone with his dad.
After the chaos, everything soon settled down with the sounds of a baby crying.
Jennie loosened her grip on her mom and step-brother, both sighing in relief.
The nurses cleaned him up and wrapped him up like a burrito before serving him- I mean handing him to Jennie.
Seeing the baby's face, it was like something inside Jennie had changed. She suddenly felt at peace, even with the baby was crying out loudly in her ears. All her uncertainties and worries about the baby had vanished as soon as she held him in her arms.
Motherhood was truly magical.
"He's beautiful," Jennie smiled.
Yoongi shook his head, shutting his mouth before he could comment something rude about the baby's appearance. Yeah, babies are cute. But not newborns. At least in his opinion, they haven't glowed up yet.
"I'm surprised you're not saying anything about his appearance," Jennie chuckled at Yoongi, who stood next to her with his arms crossed.
"About him being ugly?" Yoongi asked. "I thought now wasn't the time. I'm sure he'll look better in a few months. But with your genetics?" he laughed.
Jennie glared at him. "If I wasn't holding my baby, I wouldn't thrown this glass vase at your head."
It's been 9 months since he left Seoul to go live with his dad. So, so much has changed since then. Everything with his family life, his work life, his relationships. He didn't expect so much to change, but he was grateful.
Because of his bad relationship with his parents, he thought that it'd be the same for his step-mom and sister.
But that wasn't the case.
Sunmi wasn't the evil step-mom thought she'd be, and Jennie wasn't the evil step-sister he thought she'd be. Tv shows and movies had dramatized the relationship with stepfamilies, or at least the ones that he watched.
Yoongi even thought that he was the problem as to why his relationship with his family was shit. But living with Jennie and Sunmi, he realized what a real family was.
