I laughed. "Thanks, Alexia."

"We'll be free in a few days and then we will celebrate in style." 

"Yes, we will. I'll let you go. Talk to you later Patri."

"Bye Ale." I hung up. I looked through my messages

Jess

I know you want nothing to do with me right now, but happy birthday Patri. I hope all your wishes come true.

I smiled. 

Thanks. Hopefully, your birthday was fun despite the lockdown.

Lola turns anything into a party. Enjoy your day.

I locked my phone and looked out the window. 

22 years old. 

Jessica's POV:

24 years old. 

I looked out the window. This will be a good year. I know it will. 

"What do you want to do today?" Carmen asked. 

"You guys pick." I looked at her. "I don't care."

Patri's POV:

I stood outside. Finally, freedom. 

"Feel good?" Leila asked.

"Feels amazing." I laughed. "I was starting to lose my mind in that house." 

"Same." She shook her head. "Speaking of losing their mind, Mapi!"

"Shut it." Mapi walked by us. 

"Aw. She doesn't remember how to interact with people." Leila smirked. "Someone meow at her."

I laughed. Alexia walked over. "I heard Jess is home." She smiled.

"Is she? Good for her." I walked away.

"Patri." 

Jessica's POV:

"Come on in." I sat at my desk. 

The door opened and Laia stood there. "Ok. I'm going to do that again just to make sure I'm not seeing things." She shut the door and knocked again.

I laughed. "Come in."

She opened the door. "YES!" She ran to me. "I'm so happy you're back!"

I hugged her. "At least some people are." I mumbled.

"What?"

"I said how can I help you?"

"I'm fine. I just wanted to make sure you were actually here."

"I am. I'm not going anywhere." 

"Good." She smiled. "I missed you." She left and I was alone again.

I looked at my phone. "I wish someone else reacted the same way."
