CHAPTER V: Γόνος Απο Επτά Κάτω κόσμος

005- SCION OF THE UNDERWORLD

"You need to relax for the rest of the day Kria. A-Alam naming m-masama ang loob mo sa sinabi ni Sir Pyro kanina sa Hall of Weapons. Don't worry, we'll inform the goddess Eunomia and the professors for our other subjects regarding your absence. We won't allow you to attend class with that incident bothering you. You won't be able to concentrate and it'll just end-up on you, not learning anything. Believe me, ilang beses na akong dumaan sa ganyan. We'll see you later at the Banquet Hall for supper. Try to, get some sleep to ease your mind."

That was what Rae reminded me earlier as they walked me straight to the House of Hecate.

I'm now sitting in an extravangant couch on the house's massive living room katabi sina Mageia and Kratos na kapwang nakaunan ang mga ulo sa lap ko as I was staring at the huge statue of my mother, the goddess Hecate, just above the house's fireplace which was her altar.

Every house here in the academy has an altar for us to offer our gifts and prayers to our parental deities for support, luck, blessing, or so as they say.

"First day of school really sucks mom.", I blurted out all of a sudden as I let out a deep breath in frustration at tsaka hinimas nalang sina Mageia at Kratos.

I was still in my uniform at halos mag-aanim na oras na ako ditong nakatitig sa statue ni mom o di kaya'y kinakausap ang sarili ko na parang baliw.

"Nakaka-depress talaga yung nangyari kanina!", I exclaimed in frustration as I leaned my head against the couch and I blankly stared at the tall ceiling.

"I think I need a nap.", I finally decided, still talking to myself after a while of staring at the ceiling and I started to feel a bit drowsy from my frustration, plus the humiliation.

Umusog naman sina Mageia at Kratos sa couch at pabagsak akong humiga dito. I was still wearing my school uniform and I have no plans on changing. I just wanted a quick nap to, well, as Rae said earlier, 'ease my mind.'

I surprisingly opened my eyes by the sudden series of knocks that I heard on the door. At first I thought it was just a dream or my imagination kung kaya't pinikit ko ulit yung mga mata ko until---

"Kria! Sina Prim toh. We're here to escort you for supper!", napabalikwas ako ng bangon nang marinig ang boses ni Prim as I hurriedly ran towards the door and opened it without thinking.

Bumungad sakin sina Prim, Rae, at Pen kasama sina Aeo, Rios, at Sev na kapwa nanlalaki ang mata at laglag ang pangang nakatitig sakin.

Oh, good thing na maayos na pala sina Sev at Rios from their critical conditions after their match earlier. Ngayon ay halos wala manlang nangyari sa kanila. The three other doofuses were nowhere to be found though.

"Who assaulted you in there?!", Rios suddenly exclaimed as the expression of horror was evident from his face while staring intently at me.

Actually, lahat naman sila ay titig na titig sakin. Kita ko pa ang mabilis na pag-iwas nang tingin ni Sev sakin nang matagpuan ko ang titig niya. Natigilan ako when I realized something.

"H-Holy Hecate!", I cursed and immediately slammed the doors shut nang mag sink-in sakin ang itsura ko.

I hurriedly ran to the closest full-length mirror inside the house that I could find and I almost shrieked at my horrendous appearance.
