026- A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING

It was as if a ghost somehow magically materialized infront of me because of the unexpected and earth-shattering revelation. I can barely breathe due to the tension that suddenly crept up all-over my body. My operational senses were all impossibly stating that my heart is ready to jump out of my ribcage.

He's the god Apollo. Wait. He's the god A-Apollo? After all this time?

"Apollo.", I whispered out of the blue. I saw him let out a smile, dahilan para mas lalo akong kabahan.

Gusto kong tumakbo paalis dito sa Banquet Hall dahil sa hiyang nararamdaman ngayon. I couldn't even make eye-contact with the other semideuses---let alone Apollo himself. For the gods' sake!

Maging sina Sev at yung iba pa ay natahimik sa nalaman. Even Eureca---who just made a scene earlier, accusing Kiran, who turned out to be the Olympian god Apollo himself, being one of the legacies who form the Insurrection and suspected him as the descendant of the primordial god of light, Aether.

Get it together Kria!

"I never thought I'd miss you.", my jaw almost dropped at his statement as I heard a faint shriek just nearby na halatang kay Prim galing. I almost choked with my own saliva as I forced myself to meet his bright golden eyes. He was intimidating in his true form, but at the same time, jaw-droppingly gorgeous, just as all the other Olympian gods were.

"And where are the three of you going?", naputol ang titigan namin ni Apollo nang marinig ko ang boses ni Sev sa gilid kung kaya't napalingon ako dun. Bumungad sakin ang paalis na sina Theo, Kai, at Eur. Saglit muna akong tinapunan ng tingin ni Theo bago sinagot ang tanong ni Sev.

"To report to the goddess Eunomia's office.", he said in a flat tone. Wala manlang kaemo-emosyon. Even his eyes aren't expressive---well, that's not surprising. Si Theo ang pinag-uusapan dito. Sev just hissed at Theo's statement.

"Ridiculous. Hindi ba yan makakapaghintay mamaya?", he asked. We couldn't even protest nang hindi manlang sinagot si Sev nung tatlo at walang-pake silang naglakad paalis ng Banquet Hall as they slammed the doors shut. Did they forget that Sev's the Polemarchos here in the academy? Natahimik kaming lahat. What's their problem?

"Those three. Tsk. Jealous much?", I heard Prim's mocking remarks while amusingly grinning kaya kaagad siyang sinaway ni Rios.

"Ahlkria.", I instantly jumped in surprise when I heard Apollo call my name. Napaharap ulit ako sa kanya. Awkward.

"Do you always look at Theoddeus that way?", he suddenly asked na ikinagulat ko. What is he talking about?

"What do you mean?", I asked him.

"I can perceive every truth that lies beyond every person, Ahlkria. My eyes cannot be deceived. I am the god of truth. I can clearly see through you.", his voice was gentle and calm, but at some point, I don't understand but his words sting.

"And I know that deep inside, you wish to reject our betrothal. You just cannot defy my father, Zeus.", guilt consumed the whole of me because of Apollo's statement. Napaiwas kaagad ako ng tingin sa kanya.
