Matt's POV:

The loud clinking of shattering glass made me wince. With an apologetic expression on his face, my buddy picked up the football he had just used to sweep a beer fake off my desk. "Boys," I laughed and shook my head as I continued writing my study guide. "Pay attention a little bit. I'm almost done."

My mobile rang, unknown number. "Mattias Taylor, hello?" I asked into the receiver and waited. "Hey, Matt. It's me, Soph." A smile came over my face. "Whose phone is this and why don't you call me from yours?" I asked confusedly, as the number had definitely never come up in my life.

"That's my boyfriend's phone," she murmured. Momentarily I paused in my movement and dropped my pen. "Boyfriend?", I asked and the boys stopped playing. "Yes, Boyfriend," she laughed and sounded unusually euphoric. "When did this happen and why didn't I know about it?"

Again she laughed. "I'll tell you when I get home. That will save us complications," she said simply and I got a queasy feeling. I shook my head. It was a rotten thing to do when I was on the phone. "At least give me the name so I can stalk him on Instagram."

She sighed. "Matt, please don't overreact. I'll explain when I get home," she moaned. What had my little girl done now? "The name. I want at least his name." Slowly I got impatient. In the end she dragged me some punk off the streets of New York or some old bloke who might be her father.

"Ondreaz Lopez," she mumbled. "Ondreaz Lopez," I repeated. Name I heard somewhere before. "Dude, your sister snagged one from that group Amy is fan of.," my buddy Jace yelled. I looked at him confused. "My sister's a huge fan of those guys. The guy's name is on the posters," he shrugged as he met my confused look.

"What group?" I asked Soph again. "The Hype House," she said with a sigh. "Honey, don't say that so averse," I heard someone shouting from the background. "Your new guy?", I laughed and I knew she was nodding. We both had that bad quality.

"Yep. But it's about something else entirely." I had a premonition about this. "Did Mom call you too?" she sighed. "Yes," I just said. She told me about the conversation with her, and I realized that we had had a similar reaction.

While she had ended the call with "Go to hell," I had hung up with "screw you." And while she had the phone on, I had the phone in our apartment broken. You could see how alike we were.

I didn't want to talk about it, so I took my mind off it.

"So sweetie, how did you end up with a celebrity?", I asked provocatively. "Matt, we've been through this. We should talk about what we're going to do about Mom and the baby," she hissed.

"I don't know," I sighed. "I don't know what we should do. "We're both in college and I honestly don't want a little kid on my hands. Let her do what she wants with it, she's brought this on herself," I murmured and she made affirmative sounds.

"But the child is not to blame," she now said. And she was right. Of course we couldn't blame the baby for our parents' stupidity and it wasn't fair that he had to bear the blame for the whole dilemma.

"Yes, indeed. But what else can we do?", I asked her and leaned back in my armchair. "Let's just wait and see what happens," she said then and again she was right. "Maybe they'll come to their senses." I doubted it, and I heard her do the same, but that was the only thing we could really do.

After another twenty minutes we ended the phone call and I threw my cell phone on my bed, sighing. "So now I want to have a look at this Ondreaz," I said to my boys and they gave me a look at my laptop.

"Already done," they grinned and clicked a tab. Guy was damn good-looking, I'll give him that. Besides, they had similar interests. Only the fact that his favorite color was actually purple ruined the picture, but hey... to each his own.

I could see what she saw in the guy, but a star? It wasn't like her at all. Sure, where love goes, but it all seemed a little... out of place. I mean, he was always on tour, in the spotlight and couldn't even go to the cinema in peace without being besieged by hundreds of fans.

I had no idea how she was going to pay it out and, above all, how she imagined it.

And then there was the thing with the baby. A child that my parents obviously didn't want and therefore demanded that we take care of it. First they were never there for us and then, when she had a problem, we were good enough for her again. Why did I feel like a fool?
