Your head laid against his shoulder, your right arm draped across is torso. his head laid a little on top of yours, his right hand resting on your right hip. you both cuddled on the couch in peaceful quiet, listening to each-other's breathing & heartbeats. it was perfect.
"river?" you asked, breaking the silence.
"yeah?" he replied, kissing your head quickly.
"you know you mean the world to me right?" you said, shifting your head so you could look at him.
"yes, i know hun" he said with a smile, eyes twinkling.
"good, that's good" you settled your head back on his chest, nuzzling your face into the soft fabric of his shirt.
"you mean the world to me too y/n" he whispered to you, smiling contently.
you both didn't need much, just one another & reassurance sometimes.
