"What?" That removed a lump from Eunice's heart. Hearing Jimmy say that they weren't really married. It opened a room for hope and love.
"You can call or ask anybody you want to ask, but we aren't really married. We never did wedded" he said desperately longing for her trust; "I cooked it up. She forced me. In order to make you believe I never really loved you, she told me to get a prove 'find a girl and get a fake marriage',she said" he was sweating now.
"I... Don't know what to believe again. That all this years, you still loved me, Claire loved you and wanted you for herself, you weren't really married?" She stopped crying.
"You've gotta believe me this once"
"But why can't I Jimmy?"
"Okay, I promise and I swear that I'll let you be and never disturb you ever again if all this I'm saying isn't the truth" he swore.
This was a challenge. A fat bargain. But, it was worth it.
"It's a deal" she finally said.
