Chapter 39

Sienna gets home – exhausted – after her shift. Jay hasn't shown up for his surgery. He's not a happy camper. She hasn't seen much of her best friend since he left the hospital.

Antonio is sprawled out on the living room couch watching the Blackhawks' game and drinking beer.

"So sad, 8 years of marriage and you don't even greet me at the door anymore" Sienna teases as she presses a kiss to his forehead.

"Blackhawks game is on"

"Yeah, so much more important than your lovely wife" She teases jumping on him. "Jonny Toews is on fire this season" She grabs his beer and takes a big sip.

"I hope you mean his playing abilities." Antonio mumbles, pouting slightly.

She smirks and shrugs, "He has a really sexy ass."

"Sienna" Antonio whines, "I have a sexy ass."

"I'm sure Jonny Toews would have greeted me by the door."

Antonio huffs and picks her up from the couch. He walks with her all the way to the garage door and closes the door in her face.

"What are you doing weirdo?" He hears Sienna call from the other side of the door.

"Come in again" Antonio calls.

Sienna rolls her eyes and walks into the house. Antonio waits for her with a rose that was on the kitchen table, "Good evening baby girl, I'm so happy you're home."

She glares, "I don't appreciate the sarcasm idiot boy."

Antonio laughs as she leans down to kiss her, "I really am glad you're here gorgeous."

She smiles, "Thanks for my flower"

He kisses her again, "Let me make it up to you. How about a movie tonight – we're officially on weekend mode"

"I'd like that."

The two drive off to the cinema and decide to watch a comedy. After the movie they go out to the carnival and enjoy the last few hours of going on rides and eating junk food.

Sienna jumps on Antonio's back on the walk to the car from the carnival. "I had the best time tonight baby"

Antonio gives her a cheeky smile, "So I'm back to being the best husband in the world?"

She shrugs as he lets her down on her feet after unlocking his truck. "Not in the world yet, but getting there"

"What can I do to get back in your good graces?"

She smiles, "You can take me home and" She smirks as she gives him a fast but smouldering kiss, "do stuff."

Antonio chuckles, "sounds perfect"

Sienna finds Antonio in their garden sitting on the porch chairs early the next morning. It's been an active Saturday for him. He's so far done everything on Sienna's list that he hasn't gotten around to when he's working.

"It's 8am" She complains, "Come back to bed."

He chuckles, "Come sit here" Antonio pats his lap and immediately wraps his arms around her when she does.

"How long have you been up?" Sienna asks relaxing her body against his. He kisses her shoulder, "Since 5:30. I did everything on your list"

Sienna grins, satisfied as hell. "Finally"
