Third P.O.V

Sitting in a Manta, (Y/n) found himself patiently waiting for his team's arrival at an abandoned Dust mine. His eyes wandered over to Penny happily talking with Maka about how exciting it was to be on a mission together. He couldn't help but smile when he saw this. Memories of his past lives filled his mind of missions he went on with people he grew close too.

His eyes closed as he lowered his head. Those were nothing but memories now. Memories that he will treasure till his very being was reset. For now, he was going to do his best to help secure the future of the next generation.

Pilot: "We're approaching our destination." he announced.

He opened his eyes and slowly sat up from his seat. Penny and Maka heard the pilot and made their way over to the door of the Manta. Maka opened it, allowing the cold air to fill the interior of the airship. This caused a shiver to run down (Y/n)'s spine as he stood up and made his way over to the door.

(Y/n): "I hate the cold." he stated.

The two girls looked back to him as he hugged himself, though it didn't matter. His current form is nothing more than a human mold that he copied from Maka. So it had no body heat, which was why he would rather be in my fox form. The fox that he copied so long ago was that of an arctic fox, which made the cold weather when he used to traveled with Cara more tolerable and kept her warm.

As he walked in between them to look out the Manta, Penny moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around his left arm. She was hugging his arm with her body and grinned brightly. She looked over to (Y/n) as he looked at her before blinking a few times.

Penny: "Don't worry! If you're cold, then feel free to hug me for warmth." she told him.

This... confused (Y/n). He was sure that Penny was a machine. He always thought of machines as cold and hard whenever he thought of machines, but Penny wasn't; She felt warm and soft. Maka watched in surprise as (Y/n) pulled Penny in front of him and wrapped his other arm around her. She watched as (Y/n) rubbed his head against Penny's head with his eyes closes as Penny let out a giggle.

(Y/n): "So warm~" he said happily.

Maka: "This is... surprising." she said honestly.

Penny: "Well, when I was at Beacon, I made several requests to my father to upgrade my body once I went back to Atlas. Requests to help make me more human." she stated.

Penny: "He was already kind enough to give me some senses such as touch with the most incredible achievement being that of taste. He went as far as creating a tongue along with the ability to create a saliva-like substance to make better me more human." she announced with a smile.

Maka: "Really? What did you request?" she asked curiously.

Penny: "Well, things like being able to move my body more fluidly and a better sense of rhythm. I want to be able to dance much better than I did at Beacon after seeing Team JNPR dance." she told her.

Maka's eyes opened when Penny said that. She wasn't expecting that, of all things, to be one of her upgrades, but she couldn't help but giggle at it. It was such an innocent request, and the thought of Team JNPR dancing brought a smile to her face. However, that thought quickly turned from happy... to sad. The image of Pyrrha dancing happily with her team. Maka quickly shook her head as she tried to focus. Pyrrha would've wanted them to keep moving forward.
