Chiaki's Christmas Party

Y/n's pov

It has been around a few weeks since the season changed to winter and Chiaki is still upset at me for not giving her a kiss on the cheek at the festival. At the moment we are both walking around the campus together and Chiaki has changed her way of making me guide her around. Instead of holding onto one of my arms and playing games with one hand, she stands right up against me so she can use both hands while she plays and walks. She doesn't respond to anything other than me asking her things or talking to her which makes this a step forward and a step back. She isn't completely stuck in her games, however she is still finding ways to play more game and do less things around her. I look down at her and see that her face is starting to tint blue, which is the result of another problem that she hasn't gotten over yet "Breath Chiaki, you're turning blue again" she gasped and took a few breaths before holding her breath again. I frowned as I guided her to the side of the walkway as a small group of students passed by. "alright then, since you can't play and breath at the same time I guess I will have to make conversation with you to give you a reason to breath" Chiaki didn't look away from her game "uh-huh" I sighed, it wasn't a long response but at least she has to breath to talk "so, Christmas is coming up soon, do you have any plans for it?" "no......I'll just be playing games....I think" I frowned as I guided her to avoid a trashcan "you wont be visiting your family? that's what most students at the school plan to do with the break" Chiaki frowned but didn't look away from her game "They would be too busy to be home...It would just be me....and my games." "so I guess you are staying at the academy then" "it is better that way...I think" "why not set up a class party for the people who aren't going home?" Chiaki suddenly froze after I said that, not even playing her game "class...party?" I nodded and looked down at her "yeah, a Christmas party for the people in our class that don't have someone to be with" Chiaki put one finger up to her chin and looked up "it's a good idea...I think" "you would just need a place to set it up and a way to figure out who is coming" Chiaki nodded and grabbed my hand "Let's do it!" I chuckled and smiled at her "yeah, why not go ask Ms. Yukizoma to help you with the planning?" Chiaki nodded "will you staying in town for the holiday?" I nodded "yeah, I have to take care of Monaca, and I can't really go back home anymore" Chiaki nodded slowly and started walking to the school building, putting her gamegirl away. 

I watched her walk away before continuing to walk around. Today was the first day of the break so there wasn't any classes, students are normally expected to be saying goodbye to their friends before they leave for home during the break. Ms. Yukizoma is allowing the class to do the same but wants all of us to come to the classroom before the end of the day to meet as a class a last time before leaving to break. I don't have many friends outside of the class so I don't have to worry about speaking with anyone before they leave. Natsumi lives in town so there isn't much point in saying goodbye to her since I will be seeing her in town over break. My mind begins to wander as I walk, thoughts coming in and disappearing the moment I finish with them, this happens when I don't have a single thing to focus on. I'm broken out of my thinking as I feel something softly crash against my chest. I stop walking immediately and looked down, seeing the hood of a yellow hoodie with 2 bunny ears on it. This feels like something out of a manga or anime..... The person stood still for a bit before tilting their head up, 2 different colored eyes looking into mine "....Good morning Aiko, how are you feeling today?" She stood still for a bit "I'm doing fine..." I nodded and stared at her "are you okay?" she nodded "yeah, It suddenly got warm" I blinked and stared blankly"what" she stared back "what" she blinked her eyes and tilted her head back down into my chest before backing up suddenly. She hides her face with her hood and let out a strange sound "sorry for walking into you, I was kind of lost in my thoughts." she peeks over at me under her hood for a moment before hiding again and spoke in a quiet voice "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention either...." I chuckled as I watched her, she was very shy but it made her kinda cute. "busy thinking?" she nodded "most of my friends are leaving for the break but I'm staying here so I have no one to spend time with...." I frowned a bit "well, It's best to talk to them while you can before you go looking for something to help occupy yourself over break. We might not be friends exactly, but I'm not going to be leaving for break either so if you need someone to talk to or hang out with I'll be willing to be there. You still have my number somewhere in your phone right?" she nodded and looked at me, still covering some of her face with her hood "yeah.....thank you." "it's no problem, now go on and meet with all your friends. you wouldn't want to miss your chance to see any of them" She nodded and started walking off quickly
