Again

Aaliyah's Dreams

A/N: There may be some triggering parts in this chapter. Also there may be some oddities but it's my story and you guys love it. Thanks for your support. Sad to say this but this is one of the last three chapters.

Two months after doing the IVF procedure the couple found out that they were pregnant. Both were excited at the potential to add to their family. It was a beautiful happy time for them. Janet had a glow about her that showed on her face. They were being careful and cautious in every aspect of their life. The kids knew that there was something different about their parents but none of them questioned it. Denim and Serenity went on about their lives because they felt that everything was okay. Aaliyah saw the changes in her parents and understood what was happening.

One night while putting Aaliyah to bed, Toni and Janet were reading her a story. Before they left the room Aaliyah said something strange. She touched Janet's stomach and then said, "Mama, she said she has to go. God is calling her and she doesn't want you or Mommy to be sad."

"Who Aaliyah?"

"The baby, Mama. I saw her in my dream and she said for you not to be sad when she leaves."

Both women exchanged a look that showed their unbelief as to what their daughter was saying. They hadn't told anyone except Tamar and Gil that Janet was pregnant. So Aaliyah's knowledge of the baby both shocked and scared them.

"Aaliyah what do you mean?" Toni asked, looking at her daughter with astonishing skepticism.

"Mommy she said that she won't be staying and we will never get to see her. She said she has to be with God."

"Okay baby, go to sleep." Janet said, kissed her head and went to her bedroom. Toni kissed her cheek and pulled the covers up over her shoulders and met Janet in their bedroom.

"Toni, what do you think she means?"

"J, I don't know it kind of scared me. How did she know, we haven't told anyone?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out. It was eerie and a little scary. Aaliyah also kept saying she."

"Baby let's go to sleep and not dwell on it. Everything will be alright."

Toni spooned Janet rubbing her belly until they both feel asleep. Aaliyah's words made both women nervous and it showed in their actions. Toni began to treat Janet like she was invalid, and Janet wanted to avoid all stressful situations. But avoiding everything wasn't a good way to live. Three days went by with the both of them avoiding even talking about Janet being pregnant. The night of the third day they sat down and had a talk about it and decided that they wouldn't let Aaliyah's declaration affect them. And so the couple went on to continue life as it was and to only talk about the baby when they were alone.

Bedtime with Aaliyah was different but in a good way. She was happy to go to sleep. She told her parents that in her dreams she had been talking to the baby. Whenever she brought up the topic of the baby it made both women nervous. However they pushed through and asked Aaliyah some questions.

"Baby girl, how did you know Mama is going to have a baby." Janet asked curious about the situation.

"I was dreaming and I was in this place with lots of flowers and I saw a little girl that looks like me. She was sitting by the water and just staring at it. I sat down next to her because she seemed sad and lonely."

"Okay, then what happened?" Toni asked.

"I started talking to her and she said that she was the baby Mama had in her stomach now. I asked her how she grew up. She said that when she went back to God, he made her look like me. She said she never lived on earth and that even though she was in Mama's stomach she couldn't stay there. Then she told me to tell you guys to not be sad when she left."
