I must have been sitting in the chair for at least 20 minutes before the door creaked open. In walked Steve. He walked in front of me and leaned against the wall. I eyed him down.

"That was quite an escape earlier. I gotta say I also was not expecting any of that. I really only have one question. Who are you?"

I smiled at the super soldier. I wasn't going to say a thing. Not a word. He sighed and walked out. Ok? Kinda strange. I wasn't gonna let down my facade. I wanted to intimidate them.

Shortly after Steve left, the door opened again. I didn't bother to look up. This time the person dragged in a second chair and sat down.

"Do you know who I am?"

I looked up and smirked.

"Yes. The Winter Soldier. A Hydra soldier, experimented on. Murderer of thousands."

He flinched.

"Have I hit a nerve?" I frown mockingly. "All I know is you were their best soldier. Their favorite. Then, you disappeared."

He shifted in his chair.

"What's your deal with Hydra?"

I rolled my head a shifted my gaze the the mirror.

"Are you an agent? A spy? A refugee?"

I didn't move my gaze.

"A victim?"

I snapped back towards him.

"Ah ok."

My chest was rising and falling as my heart picked up speed. I raised an eyebrow as my I could feel my eyes start to water. Bucky stood up and left the room.

I hung my head. The tears started flowing. I sat there with the tears flowing down my cheeks, hands still behind my back. The door opened and Natasha walked in. Instead of sitting or standing in front of me, she walks behind me and unlocks the cuffs. She stands and walks out without looking at me.

I don't stand, but I bring my hands to my lap and rub my wrists. There were marks where the cuffs once were. I rubbed my eyes and walked back over the the rough mattress.

Flashback-

A little girl looks  up to see a small birthday cake on an old kitchen table. A candle in the shape of a 3 burning as her parents sing happy birthday. She smiles and laughs as she blows out the candles.

That night she goes to sleep with dreams of ponies and princesses. She wakes in the morning to silence. She gets changed and walks to kitchen for breakfast. The child freezes and drops the stuffed bear she had been holding. Her parents were dead. Tied and gagged at the kitchen table. Shot execution style.

She remains frozen, staring at her parents, unable to understand, even as a woman lifts her up from behind and walks her towards the door, taking her away forever.

It was silent for a minute. Then Sam spoke.

"Now what?"

Bucky spoke up quickly.

"We have to protect her. We've seen the things she can do. She could be powerful and a deadly weapon if they got a hold of her. And maybe she could help us?"

Steve nodded his head. Everyone else seemed to agree. Except of course, Tony.

"We could just let her go. She's been out there for awhile i'm guessing and she's doing fine. We don't need to make it our problem."

Nat seemed annoyed by this.

"She seems young. Plus Hydra got awful close yesterday. We should at least talk to her first. She seems... broken."

Even Tony agreed to that. They all started back towards the cell. When they got there they saw she was asleep. I guess it was late, it was dark outside and judging by the last few days she had, she was probably exhausted.

"We can let her sleep and talk to her tomorrow."

Everyone nodded and walked back towards the sleeping quarters.

*your pov*

I woke up in a sweat and quickly sat up forgetting where I was for a moment. I looked around and remembered the events of the previous day. I couldn't tell what time it was or even if it was night.

My body ached. My legs were sore and I was a mess. The only thing I could do for now was sleep.
