Now Or Never;....

It's been a year since Desmond left. I'm staring out the plane's window listening to Trust In You by Lauren Daigle. After all, life has put me through, what else can I do than trust in God.

It's been a year but my heart has never grown to love Desmond less. In fact, his departure had only made me realize how less meaning my life has without him.

I'm on my way to London. I finally got admission into Imperial College. I wanted to attend a small school back home but trust my father to want big.
I don't think staying around more English people would do me good as each one would remind me of how my Desmond is the very best.

My dad just had to go choose the 5th best university in the United Kingdoms. He says he wants me out of Canada to help me forget the mansion but that place has been sculpted so deeply into me that not even a memory loss would wipe it off. 

Imperial College is a though science school so I've heard. Maybe the challenges it would bring me would fill the void in my heart.

Jason got married last year and I'm happy for him.
My whole family came to London to watch me get into school. I don't think it's necessary but being the family's 'princess', there's no escaping this.

We've spent a week in London and almost everything reminds me of Desmond.

Whenever I hear an English man speak, I remember how my Desmond speaks.

It's finally my first day at school.

"Bye angel. Imperial College is not tougher than you! "My mom says whilst shaking my shoulders.

"Remember angel, Smiths aren't quitters! "Dad adds before hugging me.

I stare at all three of my brothers and Andrew is visibly fighting tears.

"My fairy's all grown up... "He manages to say.

I sniffle before they form a group hug with me. My parents just watch and smile. My mom is crying too.

"Get your man pants on Andrew. You're acting like mom. " I tease and he pulls my ear causing us all to laugh.

"We all dropped some for you," Jason says stretching out a credit card and I pull all three of them into a hug at once.

"Alright I... " I begin when I'm cut. My heart misses a beat at the familiarity of the voice.

"Deborah! "

I turn but can see anyone through the moving crowd. Time slows down as I finally begin to see through the crowd.

There he is in his glorious beauty. Perfectly outlined from the others by perfection.

His perfect self seemed to have gained more perfection over the months.

I stare in disbelief. Is..... Is he really here? I'm not daydreaming again, am I?

With slow, unsure steps, I move towards him who's just standing still. His face splits into a heart-stealing smile. A smile too perfect for my imagination.

He's actually here. He's... Desmond... My Desmond is here!

I run towards him and he twirls me in the air whilst keeping me in a hug.

"It's really you! "I exclaim.

"W.. What are you doing here? "He questions

"I got admission into Imperial College. "I reply proudly.

"Me too! "He exclaims and my jaw drops in happiness.

"W.. What!? "I question.

"Yes! "He replies and I hug him again. Not wanting to let go. God did it again. Answered a parted I never even knew I prayed.

"Love is a powerful force," he states.

"And you, are one powerful source,"I reply.

"We.  Deborah... We. "He corrects.

Love found me! I'm back with my Desmond!

My happy ever after might have just begun!

Time Travel back to the day we 'lost' Gabby and Ekene.

"Dad! There's something in the water! "

"Oh don't bother dear. It must be a fish. "

"No, dad. Its... Its people! "

"People!? "

"Yes. T... Two of them! "

The man runs out of the house and indeed sees his little boy is accurate. Two bodies are floating towards the shore.

"Quick Ben. Go get my phone and call 911!" The man screams and the little boy obeys.

Not long after, an ambulance and police cars are at the man's house.

"The boy is still breathing! "One of the medical personals notes.

"The girl needs the hospital now! She still has a pulse! "Another shouts after checking the girl.

"Gabby!? "A nurse screams on sighting the girl.
