Syn hadn't said a word to me since he practically dragged me out of the dining room. He led me to his room in complete silence and once we got inside he immediately went to the restroom. I contemplated knocking on the door but decided against it. He was fuming on the way over, and although I wasn't afraid of him, I didn't want to push his buttons.

I sat at the edge of the bed and played a random game on my phone for a few minutes until I heard the door open. I lifted my head to the restroom door and Syn walked out with the sleeves on his dress shirt rolled up and a lit cigarette between his lips. He looked devastatingly alluring. Under different circumstances, I would've let him know just how sexy I thought he was but now wasn't the time.

He walked to the balcony and leaned on the rail as he took several long drags, blowing out a cloud of smog with each one.

Syn?" I spoke up softly. He turned around to face me and raised a single brow in response. "Are you okay?"

He nodded his head as he blew out another cloud of smoke. "Why wouldn't I be okay, Queen?" I stiffened when I heard my name. I was more used to him calling me 'Princess'. The only time he ever called me Queen was when he was pissed.

"I don't know. You seem upset," I said honestly. I had no idea why he was upset at all to be truthful. He wasn't an easy person to read.

At all.

"I'm not upset at all. In fact, I find that it makes me ecstatic to see that your ex-boyfriend is comfortable enough to kiss you," he said, his face deadpanned.

"That's seriously what this is about?" I asked with a scoff as I stood up from the bed. "Are you serious, Syn?"

"Dead serious."

"It was a kiss on the cheek. How are you going to be upset at me for him kissing me?" I asked in complete disbelief. I knew Syn had some insane moments but this felt like another new high. "You're being ridiculous, Syn."

At that, he glared at me and threw his cigarette over the balcony before storming toward me. Shit. "I'm being ridiculous?" He hissed in a low and threatening voice.

I crossed my arms and held my ground as I looked into his green eyes. The green eyes I had admired so much were filled with an emotion that I couldn't place...I wasn't sure I wanted to. "You are."

He scoffed and shook his head at me. "You can't be fucking serious."

"I'm dead serious," I mocked. I knew I was being a bitch for sure, but right now none of that mattered to me. If he wanted to yell and be upset over nothing at all, I could do the same.

"If Mia kissed me on the fucking cheek you would go ballistic, would you not?" He hissed.

"I would not," I said confidently as I wrapped my voice in a wrapping paper called lies.
