Concept: Betty is a kind, quiet girl and Jughead's a new kid who's a serpent and doesn't let anyone forget it, he has a soft spot for Betty though.

Jughead POV:
I waltzed into the school as if I owned it, we had all been transferred, me, Toni, sweet Pea, Fangs and the majority of the other serpents to the snobby Northside, we were greeted by a swarm of students but one girl stood out in particular, a short blonde with a dark purple sweater on that hugged her skinny frame and a pair of light jeans that outlined her legs perfectly, she was stunning, she was accompanied by a striking red head who smiled brightly at us, along with the blonde
"hi guys, I'm Betty, this is my best friend Cheryl-" she was interrupted by her
"and her cousin"
"yes right, she is my cousin, welcome to Riverdale high, here are your timetables, there are extra curricular activities like Cheerleading run by Cheryl, the Blue and Gold which is a writing club run by me and a good friend of mine Kevin-" she was interrupted again
"shut it Blondie no one gives a fuck" a tall guy with dark hair shouted from the back, I looked back over to Betty looking sad and saw her picking at her fingers, a little blood was drawn Cheryl grabbed her hands to try and calm her down
"dude shut the fuck up! She was talking to us" I shouted walking over to him
"oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it?" He spat
"you don't wanna test me buddy" I retorted
"And what's that?" He challenged
I turned around to show him the back of my serpent jacket he gasped
"I'm a serpent, now leave her alone" i smiled and walked back to Betty
"you were saying Betty?" I smiled warmly at her and felt a nudge at my arm and Toni give me the look i flipped her off and turned my attention back to Betty
"as I was saying, the blue and gold is run by me and Kevin, Kev say hi" she pointed out a tall boy with messy hair
"hi guys, I'm Kevin, if you need anything concerning the Blue and Gold talk to me or Betty" he smiled
"yes that's right, umm, there's a football club run by Archie Andrews and Reggie Mantle, they are actually setting it up for the new school year, there's a photography club as well run by Ethel Clump" she smiled warmly at Toni noticing her camera around her neck, Toni jumped up on the spot
"yes!" She exclaimed happily
"and, that's about it, welcome to Riverdale High!" she giggled

After a while I had got used to the school and where everything was, I wanted to join the blue and gold, I was about to knock on the door when I heard soft cry's from the other side I pushed the door open slightly to see Betty with her head in her hands and rocking herself back and forth as though she was trying to comfort herself
(This song makes this situation 10x sadder)
"Betty? are you okay?" I asked softly, not wanting to startle the blonde beauty
she sniffled and dried her eyes
"yeah I-I'm fine don't worry, what can I help you with?" She croaked I placed my bag gently on the table and sat down next to her
"your not okay, do you wanna talk to me? I know it sounds weird coming from a stranger i won't tell anyone I promise" I took her hands and rubbed my fingers I've her knuckles, rubbing over some scars as well
"it's- outs just C-Chuck, the guy in th-the hallway, he's always been so r-rude to me and I don't know wh-what to do anymore, and things a-at home aren't g-great either with my m-mom" she hiccuped
"oh Betty, come here" I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into my lap, and rubbed her back and we just talked about everything and anything, me being a serpent, her friends, what we both want to be when we grow up, everything, I felt so close to her after all of those conversations I had to ask though
"Betts, what's happening at home?" I asked carefully not wanting to upset her again
"Betts?" She giggled
"what? Don't like it?" I chuckled
"no i do, I don't think I'm ready to talk about what's going on at home yet, I won't burden you with those problems" she sniffled
"your not burdening me, it's okay if you don't want to talk about it, i understand that, but I'm always here if you want to talk about it okay?" I rubbed her back and pulled her closer to me, despite her being on my lap i had a need for her to be close to me, she was calming and sweet
"thanks jug" she sighed into my chest and played with the leather of my jacket whilst I drew circles on her back,
"tired?" I asked
"Mhm" she yawned
"Go to sleep then Pet, I'll give an excuse if someone comes in okay?"
She hummed in response and sooner than later I heard little snores fall from her mouth it was the cutest thing every, I carefully picked her up and I walked out of the school walking to my trailer and setting her on the couch so she could sleep comfortably whilst I called the school to say the pair of us won't be in for a few days, after that I tucked myself in next to her and fell asleep holding her.
