this is one of my own ideas, first time in a while :)
concept: Jughead's a shy boy with a crush on Betty, the sweet popular girl who may have a crush on him too
this has definitely been done before I just wanted to add my own style to it!
bpov:
"b, come on do you really like him?" my best friend Veronica asked me
"yes V I really do" I whined as she was painting my toenails
"okay, so what makes you like him so much?"
"well... he's really sweet, he's kind, and just generally a really nice person, I enjoy his company" I shrugged
I'm not too sure why I like Jughead so much he's just everything I could ever want in a boy
"I mean, he's okay looking but he's not exactly the type people like us go for" she tried to say kindly
"Veronica! I like him whether you like it or not, he's nice to me and that's all that matters" I said in a humph
"right we'll stop being a pussy and ask him out dumb ass" she groaned rolling her eyes
"no V, I'm far to shy for that" I gasped at her
"Whatever" she said continuing with my nails
time skip 3 days
JPov:
"alright Class simmer down now please-"Ms Baker said, in her annoying pitchy voice
"-we have a project to do, now I'm going to place you into partners, and I will know if you've swapped, I know all of your handwriting" the entire class groaned
"first up, Veronica and Reggie, Archie and Josie, Cheryl and Antoinette, Moose and Midge and finally Betty and Jughead" she smiled and everyone started to find their partners, Archie scrambled over to Jose attempting to start flirting with her, i grimaced at the actions he made towards her, my thoughts were interrupted by a soft tap on my shoulder
"Jughead, hi, we're doing the project together, I was wondering who's house you wanted to start it at?" She said with a beautiful smile on her face
"um yeah, is yours okay? Mines a bit messy at the moment" I rubbed the back of my neck
"yeah of course, have you got a free period now? We can get a head start on it?"
"yeah I have, thank god, you?"
"yeah, give me two seconds, I need to grab something from the blue and gold" she said quickly starting to walk off before I caught up with her
"I'll walk with you, I've got nothing else to do" god i sounded like a dick
"oh okay, sure yeah" she smile again before really walking off, grabbing my hand and dragging me with her
"nice house" I complimented before taking my shoes off at the door
"thanks" she grinned, before yet again grabbing my hands yanking me up the stairs
"right what are we basing our project on?" She asked as we had all the options spread out of her bed
"what is there?"
"human anatomy, the food cycle, or the circle of life, not the best selection" she groaned
"which one is most interesting?" I sighed softly
"human anatomy, definitely" she rubbed her face in frustration
"human anatomy it is then" I chuckled
time skip 4 hours
I looked over to Betty yawning
"tired?" I chuckled at her cuteness
"yeah" she giggled
"you wanna go to sleep, I'll leave if you want?" I gestured to the door
"no, I mean, can you stay for a bit, at least until I fall asleep?" she whispered softly
"sure, i-if your comfortable with t-that" I shuffled up closer to her she wrapped herself in her blanket sticking her arms out for me to hug her, I chuckled and scurried across her bed engulfing her int a hug
"your warm Jug" she snuggled into my chest, my chest vibrated with love
"mhm really? Glad your warm you've got all the blanket" I said fiddling with her hair
"want some?" She looked up at me
"yes please" I grabbed the corner of the blanket pulling it over me
"I like you Betty" I stammered
"I like you too, now let me sleep okay?"
