today's the day I finally get my new heart, your all probably wondering what happened
flashback
"dad seriously, why can't Polly just come home!" I shouted at him, me and mom wanted her home but he wouldn't let her come home
"Because Elizabeth she's insane she's not healthy" he screamed at me
"she's not- DAD THE ROAD!" and that was the last thing I said to him,
"Betty! Betts stay with me, your going to hospital, keep breathing for me!" I heard Jughead say to me I saw him running beside me while I was on a hospital gurney
"j-juggie, I-it hurts here" i weakly placed my hand on my chest
"I know Betts, I know, I love you so much, it's gonna be okay I promise"
"i-I love you t-too" I closed my eyes
"Betty don't you dare close you eyes on me!"
"b! Your gonna be okay i can't lose my best friend" I heard V shout
"look who's getting a new heart today love" Jughead waltzed in bringing flowers, I giggled as he pulled me into a hug
"ow ow watch the chest juggie" I winced
"Sorry love, how are you feeling today?" he asked sitting on the side of my bed
"excited, I really am, I'm going to finally leave this bed and walk around with you" I smiled widely
"sure we'll just be walking" he winked at me
"ew jug," i winced
"what we haven't had sex in six months" I giggled at his desperate face
"all in due time jug, due time"
his face lit up and we talked
"so how's your mom and jellybean?"
"they're okay, jellybean is asking after you"
"bless her, I miss her" I sighed
"she misses you too my love" he kissed my head
"Jughead, Betty, visiting time is over darlings" Nurse Jackson come through the room
"I love you Betts, I'll see you on the other side" he kissed my head
"good luck in surgery my love"
"thank you Juggie, I'll see you ok the other side" I smiled as he kissed me one more time as I was prepped for surgery
"Ready for surgery Betty?"
"As ready as I'll ever be" I smiled at my nurse

"good luck my love, see you on the other side"
I was terrified, Betty was having her heart surgery to replace on her dad destroyed I hated him for that. she was going to be okay though.
"Jughead, are you waiting for her in the waiting room?" I heard Veronica say from behind me
"yeah I am, I'm not leaving" I said stubbornly
"it's going to be 8 hours?" Archie added
"Man, are you okay? You seem like your freaking out?" He said to me
"dude of course I'm fucking freaking out, my girlfriend of 2 years is about to have heart surgery, I'm totally fine!" I shouted
"sorry man, I didn't mean it like that, we're both here for you" he bro hugged me
"nah arch I'm sorry, I snapped, I've been with her since I was 15 I can't be without her" I cried a little
"We know Jug, B's a fighter, she'll be okay" Ronnie said to me
"She is, she definitely is"
that was all I was saying to myself whilst I was waiting for her, she'd be okay, she was a fighter, she'd live.
"Elizabeth Cooper?" A doctor poked his head around the corner
"yes! That's us"
"She's sleeping now but she's stable, she should be awake in a few hours, the surgery was extremely successful, she's life expectancy is long and healthy, that girl is a fighter"
"oh thank god my baby is okay" we all pulled each other in for a hug
"We told you she'd be okay, what did we tell you!" Archie chuckled
"I know guys I was just worried, she'll finally be okay, she'll live a long healthy life" i smiled
my girlfriend was okay
"Are we allowed to see her yet?"
"We are just running a few tests right now, you can see her in an hour"
time skip an hour
"alright you guys can go see her now" the doctor said, i ran to her room to see her sat up reading a book
"hey Betts, how are you feeling?" I asked walking to her side, holding her side
"tired, very very tired" she said weakly
"got to sleep my love, I'll stay here I promise"
"thank you" she yawned
And she did, she slept for hours and hours and eventually woke up smiling
"jug, juggie wake up" she shook me awake
"what what? Are you okay? What's wrong, do you need a doctor?" I asked worriedly
"no no jug, I'm okay I just wanted to talk to you that's all" she giggled
god I missed that giggle
"I missed you Betts" I sighed into her embrace
"I missed you too jug" she kissed my cheek
After we talked for hours
"Betty, you can go home in around 3 days, good luck!" Nurse Jackson
"thanks Nicole" we both said as she left the room
"home sweet home!" I said as I carried inside
"yay, finally!" I giggled
"Elizabeth your home! Thank god, I knew if I went I'd burst into tears and wouldn't be able to drive home" she had already started to cry loudly
"oh mom" Betty jumped out of my arms and ran to her hugging
"I'm okay though" she smiled
"you are and I've never been more grateful, we've all got a restraining order against your father, you me polly Jughead Archie Veronica, I want you all to be safe" she added
"thank you mom" she kissed her cheek
"yeah thank you so much Alice" I walked over to hug her as well as Betty
"so no sex for a while then?"
"Jughead"
