"dad-dada" she gargled at me and my wife
"yes that's right baby! dada" i smiled, tears brewing in my eyes
"delly! how about mamma, can you say mamma?" betty held our little girls hands waving them about, Delilahs mouth didn't move, i looked over at betty and she was a little disheartened
"don't worry babe, she'll get there soon" she just smiled and went back to making faces at our daughter
"maybe she's just a daddy's girl like her mommy" i chuckled at my dirty kissing her softly
"not in front of our baby girl juggie" she giggled
months, even years went by and Delilah was proving my point, she was definitely a daddy's girl, not that she didn't have anything to do with Betty, but i was the one she came to about homework and other problems, of course Betty was there and knew, Delly did go to her with girl issues and boys, but then again, i left that down to them

present time
"dad!" our daughter called down the stairs
"he's not here Sweetie, can i help you with anything?" i put my book down from the couch and looked and Delilah looking a little stressed on the stairs
"um is it okay if i talk to dad about it, he kinda knows the whole story" she fumbled with her fingers, i looked down, a little sad
"yes of course hon, he should be home around 9 ish so i'll send him up as soon as he gets back okay?" i smiled
"thanks mom, i love you" she ran back upstairs
"i love you to Delly" i looked back at my book and continued reading.
"so, Delly how's your boyfriend?" i asked, once we'd all sat around the dinner table
"umm he's okay, he's going through a lot right now so we haven't really spent a lot of time together but i'm giving him space" she smiled, looking down and playing with her food i looked over at my husband who held her hand in his, comforting her
"it's all gonna work itself our honey, we promise" he chuckled and carried on eating
"so? what's going on with Delilah and her boyfriend" i asked once me and jughead had tucked ourselves into bed and were hugging
"they're just going through a rough patch right now, he's not showing her a lot of the love she deserves, she's giving him some time to sort himself out and then she's going to leave him"
he rubbed my arm up and down, filling me in on all the details
"good on her, i was never a fan of Nathan, she's far to good for him" i giggled rolling over onto his chest
"i love you, i hope you know that" he kissed the crown of my head
"i know you do, do you ever think me and delly will have a bond like you two have?" i sighed, a hint of sadness
"i don't know Betts, she's always been a daddy's girl, she takes after her mommy" he chuckled kissing me softly this time
"your so lucky i love you Mr Jones" i slapped his chest
"oh i am Mrs Jones" he wrapped his arms around me and let me drift off to sleep soundly before he did himself
time skip 3 months

"holy shit your hot" i let out a breath groan into my wife's mouth, our hits breath mixing with one another
"oh yeah" she makes into a kiss
"yeah" i kissed her roughly making my way down her neck leaving hickeys wherever i went, making sure to mark what was mine
"oh my god jug" she moaned again fisting my hair into clumps desperately trying to contain herself
"you are so beautiful love, so-" i was interrupted by someone clearing their throat, making me and betty jump away from each other, straightening ourselves as quickly as possible, the person standing by the door was our little girl
"sorry- umm can i talk to you both" delilah mumbled, emphasising 'both', looking down clearing embarrassed she'd walked in on her mom and dad
"uhhh yeah sure honey come on in" i stuttered trying to help betty sort her hair out which made her look even worse considering her hair was already messed up in the action of trying to get our clothes off
"mom can you please sort your lipstick out i can't take you two seriously" she laughed me and betty just chuckled nervously
"okay hon, what was it you wanted to talk to us about" i asked once i'd help my wife fix her makeup
"um, i broke up with Nathan" she fumbled looking down and playing with her fingers
"what? i thought he was finally coming around" i exclaimed, turning to look at betty who also had the same look of disbelief on her face
"well we fell out again and i just couldn't see us going any further so i broke it off" she burst out crying
"oh baby come here" betty hopped off the bed and enveloped her into a tight hug
"i loved him mom" she cried into betty's chest
"i know you did honey, i know you did" she hushed her cries and helped her walk to bed.
"so, how does it feel to be part of our secret conversations babe" i chuckled after throwing my wife gently onto the bed
"very inclusive, i love you Juggie" she kissed my cheek
"and i love you even more, is she okay?" i asked once i'd collapsed down next to her
"yeah, just a little upset, which is normal bless her" she cuddled into my side
"yeah i guess, good night my love" i kissed her lips gently
"night jug" she mumbled already falling asleep.
