our eldest daughter Amelia came running into our house
"mom! I need help, like desperately need your help" she came and threw her hands in the air
"woah woah what's happened hon" I put my book down as she flopped onto the bed
"mom you have to promise not to get mad at me okay?" she looked at me dead in the eyes
"I'll decide that when you tell me" I told her sternly
"I'm pregnant, with Harrison's baby" she told me, with a wonky smile on her face
"what! Ams that's great! Have you told your father?" I rubbed her shoulder up and down
"no, I'm kinda scared to tell him, you know how protective he is" she looked down, mumbling
"I know, how about I'll be with you when you tell him?" I suggested trying to make her feel better
"could you?" she looked up at me
"of course honey, I'll be there with you, through it all" I smiled brightly at her and pulled her into a hug as we heard keys rattling in the door and a voice
"baby?! Ams? I'm home, where are you?" Jughead called throughout the house
"upstairs Jug" I looked at Amelie and squeezed her hand
"hey, how was work Betts?" He asked coming into the room kissing my head, and kissing Amelies
"jug I think you need to sit down" I asked patting the bed
"what's up? Has something bad happened" he asked worriedly scanning us both up and down
"Go on Ams you tell him" I smiled at my shaking daughter
"dad, before you freak out, this is what I want, I'm pregnant with Harrison's baby" she mumbled the last bit, I could see the fear and anger starting to course through my husbands body
"Jughead-" i lunged forward to grab him before he exploded but it was too late
"what the fuck! Your pregnant, nuh uh, not in this house young lady, your twenty fucking years old, you do not need a child right now" he fumed, you could probably see the steam pouring out of his ears
"dad, I'm keeping, your gonna have to suck it up, it's fucking staying and so is Harrison" and with that she stormed out grabbing her car keys and leaving the house, I watched out the window as she drove out at lightning speed, I turned around too see a defeated Jughead sat in a ball on the floor crying, I walked over to him prying his legs apart and sitting on his lap
"jug, you really shouldn't of snapped at her like that, she's keeping that baby whether you like it or not, I'm sorry" I cradled his head in my hands, stroking his hair whilst his cry's died down until they were just sniffles
"I'm sorry I snapped, I just don't want to let her go" his cries started again
"jug, I know it's hard but she's growing up love, we're going to have to let her go" I pulled his face away and stroked it
"idm don't want to let her go, I made a promise the day she was born that I'd look after her that no one would hurt and no one would take her away from us" he cried into my chest, my heart broke for this man
"no ones taking her away from us, she's just getting older, she's going to be a mom Juggie, think about how happy we were when we found out about her and Jack, over the moon, we need to be there for her okay?" I looked at him and smirked with a smile
"yeah yeah okay" he smiled lightly.
I managed to get a hold of Amelie and get her to sit down opposite her father,
"Ams listen-" he grabbed her hands and rubbed them
"-I'm sorry okay, so sorry, I just really really don't want you too grow up" he spoke softly tears glossed over his eyes
"dad I'm not a baby anymore you have to let me do this alright" she spoke in a stern time
"I know I know honey" he smiled lightly chuckling
he supported her more than any parent ever could.
