Isabel POV
"Honey?"
"Mhmm?" I muffled into Daisy's neck, refusing to wake up from this heaven.
However, a dear father of mine had a different plan in mind as he poked my cheek. "Wakey-wakey," he chuckled, and I groaned.
"What?" I hissed refusing to pull away from my Daisy.
He smiled and shook his head. "You girls are adorable, but it's dinner time. I already called Jenny and informed her about Daisy's whereabouts. Was school really this tiring?" He scrunched his brows amused.
"Something like that..." I muttered not knowing how to bring Jack's death and the fact that we pretty much skipped most of it.
He frowned seeing something was off but decided not to dwell on it, at least not right now when Daisy was so adorably asleep.
"Well, you girls come down soon, okay? Food is here and I don't want it to get cold," he insisted as he began walking towards the door.
I smiled feeling blessed to have such a good father. "Thanks, dad."
He immediately returned it, "No problem Izzy." However, before he left, his eyes danced between me and the sleeping beauty. "And honey," he hesitated for a second before continuing. "Don't mess with her okay? She went through a lot," he finished bittersweetly.
My heart ached at his comment, but I knew it was well deserved, I was a bit of a player in the past. "I promise dad, I'm serious about her," I assured speaking from the bottom of my heart.
Something sparked inside of his bright blue eyes. "I'm glad," he shot me a wink before leaving us alone.
My dad was a friendly guy, always on good terms with my friends, but he definitely took a very special liking to my Daisy.
Why? - I didn't know. But those two surely loved to team up on me. I suppose my suffering was their common ground, and I just couldn't complain. His approval meant the world, ever since my whore of a mother left us for another man and his kids, it was just the two of us.
No hard feelings, to me she was dead. Either way, we were perfectly fine without her.
Quickly forgetting about my mother I cuddled into Daisy who was deeply asleep with her back against the headboard. I found it incredibly hard to not have a smile plastered on my face – She felt something too! I knew she hasn't exactly said anything directly, but it was Daisy we were talking about, my expectations weren't high when it came to confessions.
Giggling at the picture of her grumpy expression when she told me she didn't want me to kiss anyone - Fuck, she was so adorable.
"Stop jiggling and giggling I'm trying to nap," she scoffed half awake.
Yep, this was the girl I fell for - No regrets.
Pulling myself up and jumping onto her lap she gasped taken aback by my behavior.
"You are insufferable," she grumbled but pulled me closer.
Smirking I cupped her cheeks and lost myself in those dark brown eyes, that held so many secrets I wanted to unveil them all. However, my attention was quickly pulled away when I felt her hand not so gently roaming against my back, successfully giving me shivers.
"Get off," she threatened, but somehow I knew she wanted me to do just the opposite.
I wasn't sure if she understood what she was doing to me, but the second I felt her nail sink into my skin just a bit harder than the rest I gasped in pleasure confusing the shit out of her.
