It was the middle of the night and Stan had rode over on his bike never making it fully clear why, but Y/n decided that it was best to not question him and instead try and comfort him.
And that somehow ended with them both laying on blankets on top of her roof.
"I prefer clouds more" Y/n spoke randomly
"What?" Stan asked looking over at her puzzled
"Clouds. I prefer clouds over stars" she repeated staring at the sky filled with stars
"Why?" Stan asked interested, looking back at the sky
"Because the stars are always the same," she glanced over at him "but clouds can be different shapes y'know?"
Stan nodded getting her point but wanting her to continue, she did.
"When you looking at the stars there is different constellations of course but a limited amount" she waved her hand over the sky for emphasis "clouds can look like bunny's or flowers or lions or even just a blob."
Y/n laughed as she spoke making Stan laugh as well looking at her once again.
"Cloudy days are also good for birdwatching" Stan stated
Y/n nodded agreeing before they fell into a comfortable silence.
After a few minutes of silence Y/n spoke again
"Why doesn't anyone call you Lee?" She whispered
"What? Why would anyone call me Lee?" Stan asked confused by the nickname
Stan turned his head towards her his face scrunched up in confusion
"Well people call you Stan which is short for Stanley, Lee is just the rest of it." she responded turning her head towards him making eye contact
"I don't think that's how nicknames work"
"Nicknames don't have to 'work' I could call you pollenface if I wanted"
Stan rolled his eyes looking back at the sky, Y/n had then moved her head to lay it on his chest, Stan immediately out of reflex started rubbing his thumb back and forth across her cheek.
They once again sat in silence this time Stan breaking the silence
"You can call me Lee" Stan whispered
Both teens had a faint smile that was growing the more they sat there wrapped up in each other arms.
