Chapter 28: Just Great.. (Note my Sarcasm here)

Chapter 28

Lucy's POV

I reached out to grab a key on my belt as i watched the demons running towards us. I can only shudder as i saw how frightening their appearances are. They are black, some are dark brown, in color. Horns sticking out on each side of their heads. Eyes are bloodshot, as red as blood. They have bodies like Taurus' but bigger and much more bulked. I can only take a step back as i greeted my teeth in irritation.

'They are no normal demons. That's for sure. And the fact that there are a hundred of them marching towards us isn't much of a help either.'

I held the familiar cold metal hanging on my waist as i tried to concentrate on my magic.

"Lucy..."

Natsu's voice snapped me out of focus as i felt his hand on my shoulder. Confused, i faced him.

"Lucy, i want you to stay close to me." He said, not meeting my eyes for his orbs where focused on the horde of demons that are kilometers away.

"Wha-"

"Just stay by me, Lucy. And don't you dare leave my side ever again." I can only stare at him in shock as his words tried to sink in on me.

"But-"

"No buts. I already lost you once and i'm not planning to let it happen again. Your to precious and special to me, Lucy. And i'm willing to go through hell just to protect you." My mouth was hanging open as i stared at Natsu. His little speech hit me like a truck as i felt butterflies on my stomach.

"Natsu...."

"To tell you the truth, i don't want you to get hurt. Hell, i don't even want you to fight. But seeing that your Lucy, the most stubborn and selfless girl i've ever met, i know you won't just stay in a corner and watch me take them all alone. You'll interfere even if i tell you not to. You are my Lucy, after all.."

I looked at him in disbelief but never did he returned my gaze. His eyes were focused ahead. But despite that, i can still tell that he meant the words he just uttered. That his dead serious.

I can feel tears forming on the corner of my eyes. His words really touched my heart but i can't cry. Not now at least. Seeing that this is no time to go sentimental, i wiped them all away and faced the forests. I clutched two keys and focused my magic on them.

"Gates of the Maiden and Lion, I open thee! Loki! Virgo!" I twirled the keys in the air as two golden magic cirlces appeared before me where two spirits emerged.

"Punishment, hime?" One was a petite girl with pink hair and quite emotionless eyes, said. She's wearing a maid's outfit and has chains attached on each of her wrist

I can only sweatdrop as i waved Virgo's question off. She's still the same, asking for punishment i never once give. But that's just how she is, i guess. Virgo nodded in a quite disappointed manner as i once again declined her wish which made me smile a bit.

"Its been a while, aye Lucy?" The other one said. He's a boy with orange hair who's currently wearing a black coat, pants and glasses. A smirk displayed on his handsome face.

"Yeah, but let's save the chitchat later. I'll need your help in defeating this demons. Is that alright?" I asked as i pointed to the horde while dispatching my whip from my belt.

"Sure thing, Lucy." Loki declared in a quite arrogant tone while covering his fists with yellow light. I nodded in thanks as i held my whip in each end, preparing for battle.

"Lucy, are you sure you can handle two spirits at a time while fighting along side them?" Natsu asked while eyeing Loki and Virgo.

"Yes. Don't worry about me. For now, protecting Seline Town is our topmost priority."

"But your far more important to me than any town." I heard him whisper before taking off in high speed to attack the approaching demons.

I can only stare at where he stood in complete shock as my heart started to beat in abnormal speed.

"Heads up, Lucy! Regulus Impact!" Loki's voice snapped me out of my trance as i saw him punch a demon that was standing a few meters from me, with his fists that's somehow radiating yellow light.

Just then, i realized that some demons were already on near distance. After mentally scolding myself for lacking focus, i now transfered some of my Celestial Magic to my whip to create a Magical Item. I learned this trick while staying at the Dragon Realm not so long ago. Celestia personally taught me this, inorder to create powerful weapons.

I lunged myself to a small horde as my whip started to glow in golden yellow light. As i neared, one demon tried to grip my forarm but luckily, i managed to dodge it, focused some Celestial Magic on my fists, and finally punched that demon on the guts which send it flying a few meters back with the help of the force given by my Celestial-powered fists.

I whisked around and grabbed the nearest demon on its wrist with my whip. The unlucky demon that i caught started to glow in yellow light and was surrounded with little golden stars. A second later, the light was gone, so was the demon. It somehow dispersed in thin air, probably with the help of my whip covered in Celestial Magic. I also took out three other who were surrounding me with the help of my whip and my own combat skills.

After 10 minutes of fighting, i finally had the chance to glance at my comrades. Thankfully, Loki and Virgo have less than half of their magic power remaining. But i can't say the same with Natsu. His back was facing me which allowed me to have a good view of him without him knowing. I can see his shoulders rising abruptly, probably because his already breathing heavily. Well, who wouldn't?! He already defeated more than a hundred demon by his own after all.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu took a step back before jumping a 3 meters. He inhaled heavily before exhaling a large amount of intense fire lounging forward to the demons. Amazingly, more than 20 of them were caught in that attack and instantly turned into ashes.

He truly is amazing in fighting. BUT, this is no time to fantasize for i see another horde of demons, at about 300 more, exiting the forests and ready to join in our fight.

Just Great.. NOTE MY SARCASM...

Uhhhh, hi..? *waves awkwardly*

*regains composure and clears throat* i just want to ask for forgiveness from all of you for lacking time to update, for being busy and for being inconsiderate. Well, you see... i was extremely busy last week. My sister's debut was yesterday and our semi-finals will be tomorrow so i didn't have time to write. Sorry 'bout that. I hope you all understand..
