Chapter 48

Lucy's POV

I shifted uncomfortably on my seat as i looked away from my guildmates shocked gazes. Me and the rest of Team Natsu had returned almost an hour ago. We didn't waste any more time as we went directly to the guild. I asked Natsu and the others to catch everyone's attention while i talked to Master to warn him about my plans. He agreed nonetheless, saying it was my decision to make in the first place.

And here i'am now. Sitting at a stool by the bar, being the center of attraction. All eyes were focused on me, all wide and shocked. I already told them the truth. Everything, leaving nothing unsaid. I wanted to end everything now and here. I'm tired of carrying the burden and guilt. So now, i'm just hoping they'll forgive me.

"So, your saying that your the newly crowned Star Goddess and supposedly next heir to the Dragon Throne. And the main reason why you were away for a month and a half was because you were training your new powers. Now, the problem is that Zeref will rise about three years from now and you need help. Specifically, our help?" The white haired barmaid asked as she raised a delicate eyebrow as if confused and troubled. I mastered a nod to her direction to confirm everything she said.

"Yeah, that's about it." I muttered, loud enough for everyone to hear.

"So, your asking for our help to defeat Zeref? Is that it?" Gajeel , crossing his arms infront of his hard chest, a smirk playing on his lips.

"Yeah. Don't worry, though! I'm not planning on involving you in this war if you don't really want to! That's why i'm asking for your permission." I quickly said, trying look clarify that i wasn't forcing them.

"But seriously speaking, this is all hard to take in." Macao said from the other side of the guild, followed by mutters of agreement from the others.

"Don't worry. I can't blame you guys, though. I mean it's not everyday someone tells you their some kind of royalty or something, right? But do you guys need proof to believe me?" I suggested with a shrug. I was immediately answered by a series of approval and yells of excitement. With a chuckle, i outstretched my right hand to my side and concentrated. My guild mates stared in awe as a small magic circle appeared, a key emerging from it.

The key wasn't like any of the zodiacs nor silver ones. It is midnight blue in color, with golden outlines that traces its sides. The upper part was designed with a dragon's head that was looking up, it's mouth open wide as if it was roaring. The bottom part was a star, its edges were not so sharp.

I quickly grasped the key and twirled it over my head lightly. Closing my eyes, i chanted the following words:

"Oh dear Guardian of the Stars and Heavenly Bodies, hear my cry. Come to my aid. I, Ruler of the Stars, hereby summon you! Gate of the Celestial Dragon, i open thee! Celestia!" As i finished my chant, a golden magic circle appeared beside me and the sound 'Ding Dong' was heard. Yellow smoke emerged from it as a silhouette of a lady was seen. My guild mates stared at her with widen eyes as Celestia stood beside me, pride and kindness glistened on her eyes.

"Ahh, so your Princess' guildmates. It's such a pleasure to finally meet all of you. Thank you so much for taking care of our Princess." Celestia said, bowing lightly to support her last statement. She was smiling tenderly at the shocked guild, and i can't help but giggle in amusement.

"Princess?! So, Lucy is telling the truth! Wait... are you even a dragon cause you sure don't look like one!" A pretty sobered Cana exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger at us.

"Why, yes. I'am indeed a dragon. The Celestial Dragon to be exact. And I can't exactly transform in my Dragon Form inside this building. I'll destroy the whole thing. I'm sure no one wants that, right?" This seemed to convince everyone as they murmured their agreement.

"Wait.. you said 'our' princess. Does that mean there's more of you?" The youngest dragonslayer asked as she approached us, hope and determination evident on her voice. The Celestia knelt to her height and gave her a motherly smile.

"You must be Little Wendy, Grandine's daughter. I see you've grown to be such a smart and beautiful young lady. She'll be so proud." Celestia said, earning a loud gasp from almost everyone. They're all shocked, i can say. But no one can match Wendy's expression. She had her eyes wide, tears forming on each one. I can't help but feel bad all over again. She clearly misses her mother. Only if i told them earlier, they would have been together by now. God, why do i have to be so stubborn?!

  "Y-You know where she i-is?! If you d-do, please! T-tell me! I want to b-be with h-her! P-please.. I'm b-begging you! Tell m-me where G-"

"I'm sorry, Wendy. Also to Natsu and Gajeel. Truth is, i know where all the Dragons are.." i mumbled, closing my eyes as i awaited their violent reaction. I knew they'll be mad. I mean, why wouldn't they?

"F-For how long?" I faintly heard Natsu asked. With the only courage i had left, i looked at him. He wasn't looking at me. He has his eyes covered with his bangs. Even though, i can tell that he's containing his anger. I can tell by the way he's clenching his fist and jaw.

"For about a month and a half. Since i learned about my new powers. Truth is, i trained at the Dragon Realm along with all of the Dragons. That includes Metallicana, Grandine and Igneel." I confessed, biting my lower lip in attempt to stop the tears from falling. God, Lucy! You just hurt your bestfriend, AGAIN! How can you be so cruel?!

"Don't hate Lucy! She didn't mean to keep all of this a secret! Believe me.. She did all of this because this was what she thought was right! Princess Lucy has a heart of gold. Her intentions are pure. Please. Her first day at the realm, all she talked about was how you guys would be so happy and excited to meet your dragons again. It was all she ever talked about. She wanted so badly to tell you since she knew how it felt to lose a parent. But she was told not to. Your dragons were the ones who posponed your reunions. It was their choice and decision, not hers. So please, don't hate her." Celestia pleaded, which shocked me. It was all true. Though, i can't believe she would stood up for me. Like a real mother would..

"W-What do you mean b-by that? Our d-dragons were the ones w-who told L-Lucy-san not tell us? W-Why would they?" Wendy asked. An expression of hurt and rejection crossed her features.

"They knew it was best. They don't want to give you false hope. It might take longer for you guys to actually meet again since humans are not allowed at the Dragon Realm."

"But Lucy just said that she trained in the Dragon realm. How is that possible?" A curious Erza chimed in, giving us a questioning gaze.

"Since Lucy is the Dragon Princess, she's an exception."

"Then why don't she just summon the other dragons? Like how she did with you." Gray suggested with a shrug.

"That's not likely. They're not spirits. I'm the Celestial Dragon which enables me to have my own key to be summon. They have a different case. Though, there is a way to summon a dragon into this world. A spell called the 'Dragon Summoning'. A spell only Dragon Royalty can do. Unfortunately, Princess Lucy is still not ready. It takes years to fully master this since it's a very risky and difficult spell. One wrong move while performing this can lead to a disaster."

  "Disaster?"

"The dragon she's trying to summon will be trapped in between the realms forever if she commits even the smallest mistake while performing. Also, this takes tremendous magic to complete. The possibilty of her dying due to lack of practice is undeniably high." I can only gulp at that..
