Chapter 31: Headache

Chapter 31

Lucy's POV

  With a heavy heart, i glanced at the direction of the voices. There, standing far from me and Natsu, where my teammates. Wide eyed and jaws dropped.

  Wait...

  Is it just me or are there atleast three of each member? And why was the world spinning?

  Oh, God! My head! It hurts!! I'm somehow having a skull splitting headache which forced me to let out a small shriek. With my shaking hands, i gripped my pounding head as i wished for the pain to go away. But it didn't.. 5 seconds. 12 seconds. 26 seconds. The pain didn't even ceased as time went by. It rather seemed to gradually increase.

  I was already half conscious by the time my teammates sprang to action. Being the nearest, Natsu knelt to my side as i tried to surpass the pain i was feeling.

  "Lucy!! Are you alright?!" He said as he gripped both my shoulders. I can't help but wonder about his medical state. He still is wounded and injured.

  "Na...tsu? My he..ad. It h..urts." were the only words i managed to form as my consciousness started to slowly escape my well being.

  "Hang in there, Luce. Wendy's already here. Everything's gonna be alright.. i promise you that.." despite my half-conscious state, i still managed to see their faces. Erza, Gray, Wendy, Charles, Happy and Natsu... each one laced with fear, agony, worry and concern.

  I was on Natsu's arms as Wendy positioned herself on my right side. Her small and delicate hands started to glow blue as she tried to cast a healing spell on me. With shaking hands, she placed them on my head as i closed my eyes, trying to find peace despite the pain i'm feeling at the moment.

  Everything's gonna be alright..

  I doubted Natsu's words before darkness started to overcome me...

Normal POV

  "LUCY!" Team Natsu, minus Lucy, shouted as they watched her lose consciousness. Natsu held Lucy tighter in his arms as Wendy searched for her pulse. With a breath of relief, Wendy half-smiled.

  "She's just unconscious because she pretty much over used her powers. She just need enough hours of rest. Maybe 3-4 hours.. so, no need to worry, guys. Lucy's safe." The blue haired dragonslayer announced as she faced her teammates who all let out a sigh of relief upon finding their friend to be in safe condition.

  Natsu glanced at his partner whose sleeping peacefully on his arms. Unintentionally, a small smile formed on his lips.

  'Luce, your such a weirdo for thinking that something like this can change things between us. I don't care about your new powers. What's important to me is you. Only YOU.'

  "We should take her to town. There she can properly rest..... Natsu, carry her." Erza ordered which he obliged willingly. With one swift move, the unconscious girl was already being bridal carried by Natsu.

  The people in town where just outside their houses as they watch a group of mages run pass them. Two flying cats and five humans. But what really caught their attention was a blonde maiden being carried by one of them whom some of them recognized as the 'Lucky Lucy', daughter of the richest deceased couple in town, Layla and Jude Heartfilia.

  Sympathetic looks where passed on to them as they felt bad for the unconsciousness girl. Most of them knew how kind and pure hearted the blonde is, causing a fang of pain ache their hearts.

  Once running across town, they finally reached the Mayor's humble home. Luckily for them, Mr. Clarkson was outside being accompanied by a couple of men whom they assumed to be from town. Upon noticing them, he immediately ran to the Fairy Tail Mages' side, gasping as he saw Lucy on the Dragon Slayer's arms.

  "My God, what happened to her?" Mr. Clarkson asked as he led the group inside his Mansion.

  "She used to much magic which caused her to be unconscious." Erza explained as they entered a spacious room with 5 large beds.

  "Is she going to be alright?"

  "Yes, she just needs sufficient rest to restore her magic." Being the team's doctor, Wendy assured him.

  Natsu just ignored the conversion going around the room as his attention was focused only on Lucy. He laid her carefully on one of the comfy beds and gently covered her body with the thick blanket.

  "Well, that's good to hear. Oh, if you want, you can all stay here for the night. On this specific room." Mr. Clarkson suggested as he gave off a polite smile.

  "If it's not to much of a bother, then why not?"

  "Great! I'll have my maids prepare this room and dinner for all of you. And please, feel at home. Ask whatever you want and it shall be given. I do owe you all a big favor considering that you saved this town by defeating those demons."
