Chapter 5

Lucy's POV

  I really need to find a way to awaken my powers to be able to train already. But how? If only Levy's here, maybe she can help me.

  Shrugging my problem off, i went to my Father's study to read. Upon entering the place, sad memories came back to me. How my father would shout at me and he looked at me as if he wants to kill me. I slapped my face with both my hands lightly to lighten my mood a bit.

  I started to walk around the study that was full of books. I remember when i would always sneak in here when Father was out on a business trip. I will take a pile of books and take it to my room to read. Such a bitter memory of me as a child.

  I looked around the book shelves looking for random books to read. I would scan the title of the books on the side with my fingers. But my little hunt was cut short when my finger touched a random book. It glowed upon my soft touch causing me to jump a little due to my surprise.

  The glowing book flew out of the shelf and floated infront of me. I scanned the book with my curious brown eyes. It has a blue cover with pink linnings and white letterings. The title of the book is 'Star Goddess'. The book floated near me once again, i hesitatingly took the book. Once it was on my grasp, the glow slowly disappeared.

  I looked at the book once again and slowly opened it. The pages was yellowish and quite crumpled so i came to the conclusion that it was already old. I then started to read the pages of the book.

The History of the Star Goddess

  A few years ago, when Zeref still rules the world (X751-X765), also known as 'Dark Days', a blonde girl around the age of 19, appeared and threatened to bring Zeref down. Of course, Zeref only laughed at her and taught she was crazy but when he witnessed the true power this young teen possessed, he started to regret his actions. The blonde teen was blessed the power of the Stars and the Heavenly Bodies which can rival Zeref's power.

  Zeref's power was full darkness while the blonde teen possesses pure light. Two elements that are destined to battle eachother. The clashes of two powerful creatures soon happened and it was called 'The Destined War'. Soon, everyone started to take part of this war. Some sided Zeref for they want more power but mostly everyone back then supported the blonde teen for they wished to be free.

  The blonde teen became more powerful thanks to the support she got and because of this, she defeated Zeref. For he is an immortal, a powerful seal was casted on him instead. Since then, Earthland became peaceful.

  It was only identified that the blonde teen comes by the name Layla Heartfilia. She disappeared shortly after. Rumors said that she already gave birth to a child and got married to a rich man.

  And it is to believe that someone will take the seal off from Zeref  in the future. And Layla's child who possess same power as her mother will be Earthland's only hope.

  Wait? Mom defeated Zeref? How? And if ever Zeref return, I will be Earthland's only hope. All of these are hard to take in. I gripped the book and my mama's diary and put them inside my bag. I exited my father's study and i started to walk down the hallway. Unfortunately, a pink door caught my eyes. It has a 'Princess Room' sign at the door. And i instantly knew what was behind that door. Its my old room.

  After minutes of deciding if i'll enter or not, i came to the decision of entering. Immediately, a big picture frame hanging on a wall and it was covered with a white cloth. I hesitantly took the cloth off the frame and my eyes widened then softened afterwards. Its a portrait of me, mama and papa. It was taken before mom died more like left. But i can't help but wonder if she's still alive or not.

  After some time of wondering the mansion, i decided to leave. I went to the town near the mansion. I rented a room at an inn for the night.

★Timeskip★ The next day

  I paid for all my expenses for the night at the counter. I took my suitcase and made my way to the Train Station. I stopped midway because i thought of something. I pulled out a silver key and started to chant.

  "Gate of the Canis Minor. I open thee, Nicolas" i said. A magic circle appeared infront of me and a dog looking snowman appeared. I swipped him and carried him in my arms. He was shaking.

  We went to the Train Station and i bought a ticket to Miller Town. The place where my parents grave are located.
