Romeo flips through the pages of one of his favorite romance books.

He was mainly skimming through it to find proposal ideas.

At 28 years old, Romeo was an uncle, God-father, boyfriend, and Marriage Counselor.

He was thinking about ways to propose to Specs, his boyfriend of almost twelve years, but he was also looking for proposal ideas for Blink and Mush.

Blink had texted him earlier that day and he was planning to propose to Mush, his on and off boyfriend of somewhere between fourteen to ten years.

Romeo looks up from his book when his office door opens.

A man and a woman walk into the room, the man looking annoyed and the woman smiling softly.

"Hello," Romeo smiles, placing his book on his desk and grabbing a notebook and pencil. "Mr. Carter Brown and Mrs. Sofie Hyland-Brown?"

The woman nods, sitting in a chair across from Romeo. "That's us." She tells him.

Romeo smiles. "Welcome." He says. "Just a reminder that this is a safe space and it will not leave my office, unless you would like it to." He informs them.

The woman smiles.

Romeo flips his notebook open to a new page. "Now," he starts, sharpening his pencil for a second until the point was sharp. "what seems to be the problem?" He asks.

Sofie bites her lip. "My daughter-" she starts.

"Son." Her husband cuts her off, almost growling.

Romeo didn't like his vibe.

His arms were crossed and he had a strong glare.

'Husband using wrong pronouns for their child.' Romeo writes down. 'I'm assuming the child is trans; boy to girl.'

"Mr. Brown," Romeo starts calmly. "I would like to hear what your wife has to say." He tells him softly. "I do not encourage interrupting, so please stay quiet until it is your turn."

Carter glares at him.

"And uncross your arms." Romeo tells him, gesturing his pencil to his arms. "This is not Kindergarten (ages 5-6), I should not have to tell you how to act like an adult." He states.

Carter scoffs, uncrossing his arms.

Sofie smiles thankfully. "Our daughter recently came out as trans, transitioning from a boy to a girl." She informs Romeo.

Romeo smiles.

"My husband," Sofie sighs softly. "Does not approve and wants to kick her out of the house." She informs him.

Romeo frowns.

"Quit calling him a her." Carter snaps. "I do not approve. He was born a boy and is a boy." He states, crossing his arms again. "He is-"
