3 hours finally passed.
The time that was allocated to Shin and his wives to complete the papers was finally up. With that said, the principal collected each of their papers.
"Now, the papers will be looked through and marked. While that is being done, you will be sent to do the next part of the designation exams, which is power level measurement. Don't worry, it won't be too difficult." <Linda>
After explaining the rough idea of their next task, Linda handed over the papers to a teacher and guided the group to the next room.
"Are you people the ones who are taking the designation exams?" <???>
When they entered the room, they were greeted by another person who seemed to be a teacher.
"Yes, we are." <Shin>
"My name is Brandon Dio, and I'm in charge of the power level measurement exam. With that said, right this way." <Brandon>
The teacher asked them to come to the center of the room.
Over at the center, there's a machine shaped like a rectangular box with a semi-transparent glass on top.
"This here is a Power Level Identifier. Just as the name implies, it will calculate the amount of power level you possess and show it. Depending on your amount, it will determine which class you go to. Any questions before we begin?" <Brandon>
The group looked at each other, whether if anyone has any questions. Seeing that no one seems unsure, Shin answered, "None."
"Alright. Now, will the first person come forward? After that you will take turn." <Brandon>
With that said, Iris volunteered first.
"Just put your hand on top and release as much power as you can, until the numbers shows up." <Brandon>
Iris then did as she was told.
Not long, the numbers appeared on the semi-transparent glass.
"4100! A-Amazing... That's the highest I've seen in a long time..." <Brandon>
The teacher was in awe at the sight he just witnessed. Even the principal at the side had the same look on her.
"Hmph!" <Iris>
Iris had a proud look on her face.
"N-Next!" <Brandon>
Layla was next. She then did the same as Iris.
The number that popped out was,
"9000!?" <Brandon>
"What!?" <Linda>
The look on the teacher's face changed for the worst. Way different from how she reacted to Iris's numbers.
The principal couldn't keep her composure either.
Layla quietly walked back, ignoring the teacher's and principal's astonishment.
"I'll go next then." <Shana>
"P-Please, your hand." <Brandon>
Seems like the teacher was still overwhelmed from seeing the number 9000 popping out. Since he was already shocked at 4100, the numbers that Layla got was more than double of what Iris got. So it was understandable that it will shock him.
Thinking that the numbers will get even more absurd, he braced himself. But to his surprise, it wasn't what he expected.
