Chapter 42:

After their breakfast were done, Shana sent off Shin and Iris. Shin had a meeting with Fortuneprise regarding the business on the Obnova flower he wanted to sell, and Iris is accompanying him. As for Shana, she had stayed behind to have a talk with Layla. At the same time, it was to let Iris have Shin all to herself. It was an apology to last night's occurrence. So Shana wasn't all that unhappy.

As Shin and Iris left the mansion, Shana proceeded to the meeting room in the mansion. When she entered, Layla was inside sitting on one of the sofa. She was instructed to come here by Shana. Since Layla was curious about a lot of things, she didn't object to her summon.

Shana sat on the opposite sofa and spoke.

"Now, ask me anything you want." <Shana>

With that question, Layla asked the first thing she wanted to know.

"This mark, what is it actually? I've been told that it isn't a slave mark. Then what is it? As much as I want to believe him, I can feel magic coming from it. He never told me so I still don't know what this mark does. You should know then?" <Layla>

"From the looks, it's a mark to tell others that you belong to Shin. That he gives only to the people he considered his wives." <Shana>

Layla was amaze that this simple looking mark holds such amazing abilities.

"Okay, I understand. Then, next question. Who is he exactly? To be able to acquire such a high Power Level. He isn't just an ordinary human, is he? He must have done something to get that strong. Do you know anything about it?" <Layla>

Layla looked at Shana curiously. Waiting for her answer.

"You have the right to know everything now. So I will tell you. Let's start off from where Shin and I are from." <Shana>

"From?" <Layla>

Layla got suspicious at those words.

"You should already know that Iris is an elf. She's from the elf village in Natura Forest." <Shana>

Layla gave a nod, signifying she already knew that much.

"As for Shin, he's from another world. " <Shana>

"Huh?" <Layla>

Layla expected to hear an incredible story of how Shin became strong. But what she got was totally different. She was dumbfounded.

"From another world? Where?" <Layla>

"I don't know how else to explain that other than a world similar to this, but different timeline and cultures." <Shana>

"If what you say is true, that he's from another world, then how did he get here? Was he summoned by someone?" <Layla>

"The answer to that, is where I come in. I'm the one who summoned him here. Or you could say I brought him here." <Shana>

Layla was very surprised with what she is hearing. Every answers she received are too overwhelming to comprehend. And it seems that such feelings are just going to continue piling up.
