Desires In Another World

Chapter 21:

"Iris, you should stay here. I will go and take that katana real quick." <Shin>

"I know this is useless to say but, be careful." <Iris>

"Sure thing. You too, Shana. You can stay here as well." <Shin>

"No, I will be following you. I'm sure I can be of use, fufu." <Shana>

"If you say so." <Shin>

Not wanting to question Shana's intentions, he agreed and they both made their way across the field and towards the Katana.

As they got closer and closer to the katana, the intensity of the deathly aura becomes more and more menacing. 

once within an arms length, Shin reached out to pull it. But he suddenly became hesitant. 

Though he knows he is strong, he was still very cautious of it. If it somehow affect him mentally, that would be bad. He would try resist it, but he doesn't know how far he can withstand it. He was very anxious to continue proceeding.

As he was still in deep thought on what to do, Shana assured him.

"Go ahead, I'm here if anything happens. Trust me, I'm a goddess after all, fufu..." <Shana>

"Alright, I trust you." <Shin>

Not doubting Shana's words, he proceeded to grab onto the Katana. All the anxious he had faded, and now he is confident that he can do it.

He stretched his hand out and grab onto the handle of the katana which was potruding from the stone.

Once tightly grasping it, he began to pull it out.

The moment he put in the tiniest bit of strength onto pulling it, a voice suddenly appeared in his head.

{I applaud you for making it all the way here, boy... Ki-ki-ki...} <??? >

The voice spoke to him in a playful tone. It was a female voice and kind of child-like.

"I assume you're the katana over here?" <Shin>

{Ki-ki-ki, indeed I am. I'm glad someone finally acknowledges me as a katana and not just a mere sword.} <??? >

"True, I do acknowledge you as a katana, and for that I will have you be my weapon!" <Shin>

{Your weapon? Me? Yours? AHAHAHAHA thats very funny! Like hell I would be used by anyone! I'm Kagura! The Cursed Katana of legends! I stand at the top of all magical weapons! Someone like me will never be a weapon to anyone!} <Kagura>

She proclaimed.

{Especially to a mere human!} <Kagura>

Suddenly black mist began to appear from the katana. As the size increases, it slowly creeps its way up to Shin's arm and continue its move to his head.

Judging that those black mist is dangerous, Shin instinctively produce his own black mist.

{Oh...? Interesting... I didn't think I would find a dark attribute user here. Such user is a rare being in this world. Since there is such person right in front of me, I might as well... MAKE YOU MINE INSTEAD!} <Kagura>

Kagura increased the amount of black mist she was releasing. It is already enveloping Shin's hand and arm, and it's slowly making it's way to his whole body.

Shin then started to increase his own black mist.

Shin's black mist was darker than Kagura's. It was much more condensed and stronger. The color can be said to be as dark as Obsidian, while Kagura's was somewhat dark as the night sky. Though both have similar color, the strength were different. And with just your eyesight, you can tell which of them was the stronger user.
