A Different Beginning ~ Part 31 ~ Updated: 1/16/15 Late Night
I awoke to something poking my mouth and I flinched hard sending myself into a coughing fit. Hands rushed to the bandages on stomach and I teared up in pain. “Fucking hell baby. Baby calm down.” My eyes rushed to North whose hands were on my stomach. I nodded and tears slipped down my cheeks.
Silas lightly slipped a hand through my hair and he held a tissue in his hand. “Sorry Aggele!” He cooed. “Your lip had started to bleed again.” I nodded calming down and I looked at the time. It was a little past eight. I had only slept for an hour. Tears slipped down my cheeks. “Sang…” Silas’s voice filled my ears and he lightly slipped a hand to my forehead. I shivered at his warm touch and let out a groan of pain.
“Pookie?” Dr. Green was in front of me and looked pained himself. “I don’t have any strong medicine here Pookie. I need you to relax or I will have to take you to the hospital.” Tears slipped faster and suddenly there were hands wrapping around me and I was pulled into an irish spring soap. Mr. Blackbourne.
“Shhhh.” He whispered and slipped a blanket around my shoulder and I settled into his shoulder. “There we go.” He whispered and I curled closer. “Sean don’t say that again please.”
“But Owen-“ His voice wavered.
“She stayed awake during that entire process just so that we wouldn’t bring her.” He whispered and his hand slipped behind my back and I shook gripping onto his shirt. “She isn’t comfortable.” He whispered and lightly rocked and I felt the air shifting as we moved.
“Mr. Morgan.” I heard an echo and I assumed we were in the kitchen.
“Mr. Blackbourne? Is everything alright?” His voice approached and Owen nodded.
“Is anyone home tonight?” I was surprised by the question but was way to tired to turn around.
“No… Mother and Father are out of the country for a while.” He responded a bit surprised.
“Good. Call the house have the maids prep the house for us to arrive. We can’t stay the night here. No one will sleep well and Sang can’t rest.” His hand ran over my back and I curled closer.
“Of course.” I could hear the warmth in his voice.
I looked up slowly to meet Mr. Blackbourne’s eyes with my hazy ones. “Will your mother or father be worried that you won’t be home tomorrow morning?” I thought about it for a moment thinking about my mother and father. I shook my head no. No no one ever noticed.
“Good.” He whispered and brought me close again and I settled against his chest once more breathing in his scent and shaking once in a while exhausted. “Guys pack up the house. Clean up. We are headed to Victor’s for the night. Call your families.” I heard quick movements and I noticed Dr. Green not moving.
“S-“ I coughed hard and he came running. His hand slipping to my stomach to prevent me from shifting to much. My eyes stung with tears and pain and I was slipped into his arms.
