“Aggele please explain.” Silas’s confused voice broke the silence and I glanced over to him who in response sat up a little straighter. His soft soulful eyes were assessing me but not finding what he was looking for he glanced up to me the worry filling his eyes. I smiled sadly, I shifted rubbing the back of my arm slightly feeling a little uncomfortable as all eyes shifted to me.
Embarrassed, I smiled softly to myself and then to the other’s before explaining about my dream. Luke shifted forward holding my hand when I talked about him and I squeezed it feeling better for the comfort. I spoke about my mother’s abuse to both of us and then me running through the forest and falling. But I think what really started to worry everyone was when I explained what happened when I woke up. Pushing the memory out of my mind repeating silently that it was only a dream I glanced to the boys around the room.
“I am okay. It was only a dream and I know that.” I tried to come off light and airy but even I could tell it felt forced. North stepped forward, placing his coffee down on Dr. Green’s desk, which he had been leaning on, before he softly pulled me into a hug once again. I relaxed breathing in his musky smell.
“Make sure you rest.” He ordered. I could spot a few of the other’s in the room nodding in agreement and I couldn’t help but smile. They were always worried and protective but I couldn’t say no. Giving him a hug back I nodded in agreement.
“I promise North Star. Now you all should get going to your homeroom. I am going to get Victor comfortable in the cot before I go.” I glanced to Victor who reluctantly nodded in agreement.
I turned to Kota. “Let his homeroom teacher know he won’t be attending?” Kota nodded and stepped out of the room. Victor’s coughing erupted and I moved forward quickly putting taking the cup of tea from his shaking hands and placing it on the small bed side.
“Victor easy,” I softly rubbed his back just as Silas had done before and the harsh coughing seemed to fade. I glanced up and Kota appeared back in the doorway.
“Come on guys. Let’s let Victor rest. We have class.” Kota ordered and with a few grumbles the guys shifted from the room leaving Mr. Blackbourne and Victor with me. A couple of moments later the bell rang signaling for the beginning of homeroom.
Ignoring the bell, I gently continued to rub Victor’s back and lightly touched his forehead. “Have you eaten anything?” I whispered and Mr. Blackbourne shifted forward as well watching closely. Unable to speak Victor nodded as the coughing ceased and I glanced to Mr. Blackbourne. “Could you get him something warm and easy to eat. Oatmeal would be best.” Mr. Blackbourne nodded and moved from the room.
Feeling him shiver I quickly shifted closer rubbing his sides. “It’s okay…” I whispered softly and Victor’s tired eyes met mine as he slowly nodded. “Let’s get you laying down.” I carefully slipped my hand to Victor’s neck and removed his tie and then his jacket placing them off to the side before I shifted down undoing his shoes.
My prince slowly laid down on the cot and closed his eyes taking a slow breath as I covered him with the warmth of a couple of blankets. Shifting over to the side I lightly ran my fingers through his hair brushing it away from his face. He looked beyond exhausted and I carefully placed a soft kiss on his forehead. “Just rest.”
