A Different Beginning ~ Part 49 ~ Update: 2/4/15 Late Evening

Sitting in Mr. Blackbourne's grey suv I stared out the window, the sun had disappeared behind dark and angry clouds. Shivering I pulled my long sleeves over my hands and Kota shifted me closer slipping his hand around my waist as rain started to slip down the car windows creating a delicate pattern of water which then slowly increased into a heavy down poor. I shivered and lightly leaned into Kota's chest and his hands found mine playing with my fingers. Smiling I glanced down watching his slip into mine and make designs on my fingers. 

"It's getting stronger." Dr. Green stated. 

I glanced up meeting Mr. Blackbourne's sliver eyes in the mirror. He smiled softly reassuring me and I curled back up into Kota's side. "We should be there soon." 

Kota rubbed my sides softly and I glanced over to the window once more trying to make out the landscaping but failed as we pulled into a driveway. The door to the garage opened and we pulled inside the splatter of water stopping instantly. I glanced around and wasn't surprised to find that there was really nothing in the garage besides a few bicycles which were hung up on the sides out of the way and very neatly placed. 

Smiling, I opened the car door and followed the others to the door. I paused watching North's car pulling into the other parking spot. I glanced out the garage door and spotted Kota's car behind them. The boys all rushed in and I smiled waving as they rushed over to the door. Stepping inside my eyes widened. 

The door opened up into a large living room area. Comfortable black leather couches placed around a tv set and a few plants set out around the edges of the windows to catch the sunlight. Slipping off my shoes slowly, Kota guided me up two stairs to another landing. 

I could feel the cool touch of the tiled floor under my feet as I stepped into a small informal dining area a large kitchen attached. Amazed I glanced around the kitchen smiling as I felt glanced into the pantry all neat and organized. Mr. Blackbourne, having been leading the way, pauses and glances to me to get my opinion. 

"It suites you." I smiled and slipped my hand into his. Everything was top notch and nothing seemed out of place and yet it was still very comfortable. Mr. Blackbourne slipped his hand into my hair and I relaxed looking around. 

It felt like a real home. The boys were instantly shifting around the house. Silas and North both lounged in the living room with Luke, the tv on as they chatted about the program. Dr. Green and Nathan had moved through the kitchen into what looked like a small library. I smiled to myself as they pulled out computers. Gabriel and Victor had disappeared down a hallway and up the set of stairs to the second floor. Kota stood by me unsure what to do and I glanced to Mr. Blackbourne. 

"Are we to make lunch?" I smiled and glanced about the kitchen. Mr. Blackbourne's eyes widened and Kota smiled. 

"Can you cook?" 

"Can you count?" I countered and Kota's eyes widened and I glanced to Mr. Blackbourne blushing. "With your permission.." He smiled and nodded and off I went. 

Moving about the kitchen I pulled out chicken and beef. Cutting both up into small bits, I poured some oil into a pan and turned the stove on. I then started on some vegetables and some fruit. Kota lightly touched my side and I smiled pointing to the stove. "Could you stir?" He smiled nodding and pulled up his sleeves and I smiled going back to work I then paused turning to Mr. Blackbourne who had stepped forward. 

"Plates?" He nodded and stepped behind me, his chest brushing against my back making me shiver. 

Setting the plates out, I started filling them with a number of fruits and then some toppings before touching Kota's shoulder. I checked the meat before opening the preheated oven and slipped some tortillas and taco shells to warm up. 

I sighed as Kota helped me take the meat off the stove and pouring it into a bowl before removing the oven heated food. Silas, North and Luke had appeared his mouths wide. I blushed as I put the different items on the table. "Hungry?" 

"Hell yes baby." North replied sitting down quickly. 

Silas smiled slipping his hand over waist pulling me closer to him. "Thank you Aggele." He whispers in my ear and I blush resting in his chest. 

I glance to Luke surprised and realized that he was already stuffing his mouth. He blushed pausing and I couldn't help but giggle before poking my head into the small library. Nathan glanced up first and smiled. 

"Peanut?" 

"The food is ready and probably won't last long." I glanced back and Nathan rushed past me planting a soft kiss on my cheek. Dr. Green stood stretching and lightly hugged me. 

"Thank you Pookie." He smiled and I gave him a light hug back. 

I nodded following the other back to the dining room, Victor and Gabriel had also come down. Everyone seemed to be enjoying as there was complete silence as everyone dived. I slowly took a seat at the island watching them feeling more exhausted than hungry. Gabriel glanced over to me. 

"Trouble come eat." He took my hand lightly pulling me over and I slowly sat on his lap. Glancing at the taco mixings I poured a little meat onto some greens before munching on the make shift salad, knowing better than to argue. 

The guys continued to talk about random things. Gabriel still complained about shopping and bounced his knees which in turn made me bounce and giggle. That set Dr. Green laughing and in turn they also continued to giggle. I rested my head on Gabriel's shoulder and he rubbed my side as dinner slowed down. "How are ya feeling?" 

That question was getting annoying but every time someone asked it made my heart flutter. I smiled resting into his chest. "Tired." He rubbed my back and the guys nodded to me. Gabriel led me to the couch. Settling down, he carefully slipped a blanket around me and I settled against the couch watching him.

Slipping behind me he sat close and the guys joined soon after, Luke slipping my legs into his lap. Everyone curled up and Mr. Blackbourne passed around some bowls of ice cream. I passed on it and stayed curled into Gabriel. Luke happily took it making North frown. I giggled watching the boys in front of me. Dr. Green smiled at my giggling and Gabriel held me close placing a soft kiss on my neck. 

"That sound is beautiful." He whispered and I blushed hiding my face into Gabriel and shook my head. 

"What are you guys whispering about?!" Nathan asked interrupting the program. 

"Her boobs." Gabriel spit back and everyone but Dr. Green and Mr. Blackbourne broke down laughing. Both shot me a questioned look but all I could do was smile and enjoy. 

This is family. 

I smiled softly. 

No this is my family.
