A Different Beginning ~ Part 55 ~ Updated: 2/12/15 Late evening 

Waking slowly, I was encased in North’s arms and Luke’s hands rested against my back as he pressed into me. Sitting up carefully I took a breath of cool air and shifted a little. Luke’s eyes opened and he gave me a sleepy smile stretching a little as he pulled me back into his arms. I snuggled close resting and let out a small yawn making him smile again. Leaning forward he placed a soft kiss on my nose. I giggled softly and he lightly brushed some hair out of my face. “Hey pretty birdie.” He whispered and I smiled rested against his arms and against the pillows. 

“Hey…” I whispered back and Luke’s hand moved slowly to the mask on my lips and slowly removed it from my face. I closed my eyes, the feeling a little weird as I took a few breaths from the air. His hand rested on my chest as I did this and I could feel his eyes wonder over me making sure I was okay. Meeting his eye slowly I smiled resting against his arm once more. “I’m okay…” I whispered and his eyes shimmered with worry still and he drew me closer to his chest. 

“I was so worried little Bird.” He squeezed me close before letting me go. “Gabe called and he didn’t sound okay and when he said you had seen your mom at the mall and had a panic attack…” Luke’s voice shuttered but to my surprise it was North’s voice that continued. 

“We were in the car in seconds. Had to make sure Gabriel told us everything that had happened and what your condition was. We talked to Doc and Mr. B as well.” His soft brown eyes wandered over mine his voice still groggy from sleep. His warm hand slipped into mine and I squeezed softly and relaxed a little more into the warmth of the bed. 

“I saw her and I just froze…” I whispered letting my mind wander back to that moment making me shake a little. Luke’s hand tightened around me a little and North squeezed my hand again. “I just…” I paused forcing a breath out. “I saw her with Marie just walking down the hallway and I could feel my chest break. I hid in a store and watched as they walked by…” My eyes watered and I glanced down. “They didn’t even look like they were worried about me.” I barely managed and North lightly released my hand before pulling me into his arms. 

I rested my head against his muscular chest breathing in his musky scent slowly before giving into the shaking feeling. I could feel Luke right behind me rubbing my back. “Sang you are forever welcome to stay with us. We worry so much about you. You are our family Sang. You have spent every single second with us since last weekend and we aren’t letting you go.” Luke whispered. 

“There is no fucking way baby girl I will ever let go.” North squeezed me lightly before rubbing my sides down slowly. “You are not going back without us. They may be biologically related but we are family. We, all nine of us, are forever someone you can come to.” My eyes widened as I listened to North’s soft voice and I shivered nodding slowly.  

“Forever and always Sang.” Luke whispered into my ear and I slowly relaxed . 

“Forever….” Luke whispered again. 

“And Always.” I whispered back and he smiled softly in the corner of my eye. Sitting up slowly I shifted slowly. Luke rolled out of bed fumbling around and North stood easily gathering me up in his arms as we made our way out of the large bedroom.
