A Different Beginning ~ Part 47 ~ Updated: 1/2/15 Late evening

Resting in Silas’s arms felt like a dream. His arms relaxed around my sides as I cuddled into his chest beyond exhausted breathing in his ocean scent. Silas’s hand cupped the back of my head holding me still against him and I slowly placed a hand on his chest resting my head on his shoulder bone. I felt his even breathing and relaxed into his touch as he placed his other hand on my lower back. “Aggele…” He breathed softly into my ear and I shivered at the feeling.

There were footsteps and another hand joined Silas’s on my back and I slowly turned. Dr. Green held a needle in hand and I bit my lip hard looking down. Silas’s arms tensed around me and pulled me back as I raised my arm. A slight prick, I felt the world spin for a moment and Silas caught my head with his hands guiding me quickly back and I took a breath feeling the IV take affect. “This will help. I promise Pookie.” Dr. Green whispered and I nodded slowly.

“Thank you Sean.” I whispered and Dr. Green lightly caressed my cheek. Silas played with my hair as stalling for time as North stepped forward with a tray of food. I glanced at the tray very slowly shifting. North placed it on the cot and then carefully took my hand helping me stand. Silas stood behind me keeping his hands on my hips as I shifted to sit on the cot. North handed me a small cup of apple sauce and a spoon.

“Pookie keep it away from your lips and your tongue.” Dr. Green warned and I nodded looking down at the small cup before swallowing down a few spoonfuls. I waited making sure my stomach wouldn’t be upset with me but it just growled and I smiled swallowing down more.

As I finished North lightly caught my chin and looked at me. His deep brown eyes searching me. “Sang Baby. Who did this to you?” His voice was raw once more and I glanced down at my cup playing with the spoon. I didn’t know how to answer.

Glancing at Dr. Green he shifted forward and knelt handing me some ice for my face. I took it shaking and applied the cold to my cheek where Mr. McCoy had backhanded me.

Whore.

I shook hard dropping the ice. Silas knelt picking it up and Dr. Green’s eyes searched mine as I slowly retrieved the bag from Silas. Reaching forward Dr. Green slipped a hand to my neck taking my pulse before putting a hand on my chest. “Calm.” North’s arm snaked around my side and guided me to stand. Dr. Green carefully maneuvered the IV and I curled back up into the chair resting.

Evening my breathing, I watched Silas and North shift about in the small area glancing over at me every couple of minutes. Dr. Green got me settled and I curled up in the blanket resting against the leather chair breathing in Irish Spring Soap and the faint smell of Ocean. My finger lightly traced the scab that was now forming on my lip and I winced. A hand slowly pulled mine away and I glanced up finding Dr. Green’s soft eyes. “What did he do?” He whispered.

My breath hitched and Silas and North both froze. I glanced away tears forming. “He pinned me to the wall and forced a kiss on me. I tried to pull away and he bit me and then hit me.” I struggled shaking and the oxygen mask was soon placed over my mouth and Silas had me on the cot laying flat.

“Aggele breath.” I shook and tears slipped down my cheeks nodding. North swore in the background and I heard something crash. Silas tightened around me keeping a hand on my cheek caressing me very slowly. I closed my eyes curling up in the small bed forcing breaths. “Aggele?” I opened my eyes meeting Silas’s eyes this time. “Was it your first time?” His voice was gentle but I could feel the pain.
