Chapter 39 – Our Kiss Mended Our Broken Hearts

Blake’s P.O.V.

Ian, Georgie, and I were eating our dinner in one of the tables in the South Terrace of The Weather Room Rockefeller, one of New York’s famous event venues and secretly laughing at the funny looking guests.

All is going well when a familiar voice called Georgie’s name from afar. When we both looked at where the voice came from, I saw my sister in a stunning white dress. That was when I remembered that my sister had her modeling career way back, but I’m guessing Anton allowed her to model again. Actually, ngayon ko lang nalaman that she works for the same brand as Georgie’s.

“Bianca!” Georgina exclaimed with excitement. “How are you?? How are the kids?? I haven’t seen you for a long time!” They both kissed each other’s cheek.

“You both know each other?” I asked them curiously, not minding their little “reunion”.

“Georgina is Anton’s cousin, my dearest brother. Anyway, what are you doing here? I don’t remember inviting you.” Bianca shifted her look to Georgina again and flashed her smile. “They’re doing well. Well, the reason why I’m here is, I’m glad to announce that I am doing modeling again!”

They both hugged each other with happiness and I couldn’t help but to roll my eyes at my sister. Anton came and luckily, he saw me and we had our little chit chat about how the company was doing.

“Blake!” Ian called me. The four of us shifted our looks to him. He blushed and fell silent. “Uhhmmm… hi?”

Bianca sat at the vacant seat beside Ian. She studied him carefully and looked surprised. “Is he your child, Blake??”

“Ha?? Hindi ah!” Georgina exclaimed. “He’s Ian. Yung mom niya, best friend ko.” Georgie explained to Bianca. “His mom is actually one of the new names. You’ll meet her later.”

“I thought he was your son.” Bianca looked at me and then looked back again at Ian as if not believing at what she is seeing. “He looks so much like you when we were still kids.”

I shrugged and I again thought of the possibilities that could really be true. I’m going to find out later and I hope tama nga. We all had dinner together and my older sister kept on babbling about how excited she is to go back to the industry and thanking her husband, Anton, for allowing her.

Georgina and Bianca excused themselves to go talk to the others and Anton as well, told me that he had to leave. Ian and I were the only ones left and we entertained ourselves with our own secret jokes.

Ian is the only kid here in tonight’s event and I know Georgie has taken a lot of trouble for Ian to be allowed to come with us. I kept on laughing at him when he tells me that he pretends that his coke was red wine because he isn’t in the legal age yet to drink red wine. While we were busy laughing, I couldn’t help but to stare at Georgie from a far.

Georgina’s appearance is different tonight. She’s wearing a blood red dress which looked like a bondage not being properly wrapped in her body since it was revealing almost all of her porcelain skin. Her face is strong with make-up but still, she had those soft eyes that make all the strong features of her go away when you look at them. No doubt that I could fall for her if my heart wasn’t taken by Rein.

“Mom has exactly the same ring as yours.” Ian said while he was studying my wedding ring.

I suddenly felt more hopeful. My heart started to beat double time and I couldn’t help but to feel nervous. I smiled, trying to hide what I feel. “A-are you sure?”
