Chapter 24 – He Lied

Rein’s P.O.V.

I really didn’t receive anything from Blake since yesterday. Kahit one message lang, wala. I sighed heavily as I eat my breakfast and waiting for Luke who was getting ready for work.

I’m going to school na today. I’m wearing a cute dress that has a square neckline and hangs exactly three inches above my knee which Grace brought me yesterday. I think this is too much but I’m thankful enough.

Zian and I were okay now eversince he knew that I was Luke’s girlfriend. He played with me and he told me how much he likes me for Luke, funny for a 5 year old but truly adorable. Zian even stayed the night and slept beside us. Sinundo siya ng yaya niya just a few minutes ago.

Classes were boring. Well, they never bore me except for this day. I guess I’m looking forward for drawing classes on Thursday. Luke and I went here to school in different ways just for being careful. I don’t have any plans on going home yet.

After all, I haven’t received anything from Blake. I’m guessing he’s happy without me. I sighed. I felt my heart sinking but I just pushed the thought aside. And after all, I just declared myself as Luke’s girlfriend. There’s nothing wrong naman diba? I mean, just to be fair, he shouldn’t go through Luke and I’s relationship. I gave him and Adrianna space so he should do the same.  

When my classes were done, my blockmates decided for us to eat in Kenny Rogers in Taft. I didn’t have second thoughts since they seem to take my mind off my husband and my problems.

“Hi, ladies. Going to have lunch?” Napalingon kami ng blockmates ko when someone spoke. Their jaws dropped when they saw Luke wearing faded jeans, a white v-neck shirt, and his aviators.

“Yes, Luke. Kayo po?” My blockmates were all over him. They always gossip how Luke hot is. If you only knew… hahaha.

“Same.” He answered shortly while he was looking at me. Not really looking, d ko naman kasi alam kung saan siya nakatingin dahil sa shades niya.

“Sama ka na saamin!!” Leila exclaimed. “Sa Kenny Rogers po kami!” All of them were waiting for his answer.

No, please….“I would have to give you an assignment if I do that.” He smirked.

“Awwww!! Ano ba yan! Sige na, Luke!!” My blockmates look desperate but I can see that he’s enjoying this.

No, Luke! Wag ka sumama!! “I was just kidding. Sure, I’ll have lunch with my fave students. And maybe I could treat you all as well.”

He flashed his megawatt smile at me as the elevator came. The elevator was crowded so Luke and I were pushed to the corner. Luke held my hand possessively with his thumb sweeping across my knucles.

I felt myself blush and smile shyly. Kinikilig ako! Hahaha. Pero kinabahan ako dahil baka may makakita saamin and isa pa, may CCTV kaya dito sa elevator! I looked at Luke but he just smiled at me. Luckily, lahat ng tao sa elevator, pati blockmates ko was looking at the opposite direction from us.

When we were already in the ground floor, binitawan na ni Luke yung kamay ko. Nauna na maglakad yung blockmates ko and magswipe ng IDs nila. Kasabay ko magswipe ng ID si Luke and magkasabay din nagflash yung name and faces naming sa screen.

“Ate Rein! Ang bagal niyo ni Sir! Kayo ah!!” My blocmates teased us and sumunod nalang ako sakanila and let Luke follow us sa likod. Nakita ko na napailing siya and sumunod nalang.
