Jesreen spent the next few days in and around the house. She knew she would have to find a job soon. She could not afford to finish the little money she had. It was a nice little amount but with the baby coming, she was not taking any chances although she plans to take a few days to settle in.

Jesreen felt for ice cream, she felt lucky that after eight weeks of pregnancy, she did not have any weird cravings or any of the symptoms she has read about. She will be calling the doctor's office Monday to make an appointment for the gyno. For right, she was going to visit the little ice cream shop.

When she reached the town, she wondered if she made the right choice. It was summer, the town was warm, and it was Friday night. There were mothers with their younger kids and in a few cases, there was a father with them. Sometimes fathers are alone with their kids. A few grandparents with their grandkids. There were groups of teens are young adults. There were young lovers and older couples. There was even an occasional single person.

It seems as if the entire town was at the ice cream shop. Jesreen was just going to grab some cream and leave.
"Jesreen."
There was that voice again.
"Over here." She looked around until she saw Kevin's hand in the air weaving around. Oh, why did she come? She was not in the mood to make friends.

"Hi, we meet again," Jesreen said as she approaches his table.
"And a lot of that will be happening, we are in a small town," Kevin said smiling. He always seems to be smiling, Jesreen thought.
"Guys meet Jesreen, Jesreen meet the guys. This Billy, Bryan, Deon, over here is Jonny and his twin sister Jenny, you already meet her at the supermarket, and over here are the two lovebirds, Sammy and Chris."

"Hi guys, "Jesreen smiled.
"So where are you from?" Deon asked.
"I'm from New York."
"The Big Apple, so what are you doing down here?"
"Never mind her," Sammy intervene. Deon never knows how to mind her own business."
"I rather ask questions more than assume." Deon defended herself sticking out her tongue at Sammy.

"Come on guys, great first impression." Bryan chipped in and everyone started talking and laughing at the same time.
"Cum on man, we not going to order?" Billy spoke for the first time since Jesreen was there, and his accent, Jesreen could not place it, but it was beautiful.

Kevin called over the waitress and everyone put in their order. When it was Jesreen's time to order, she ordered a double chocolate ice cream. 'Now that's weird, never like chocolate ice cream,' she thought to herself.
"Is this your first time in town?" Kevin asked.
'No, I've been here twice for your end-of-summer fest, with my parents, a long time ago." She said the last part so low more to herself.
"Ok, so are they here now?" Kevin saw her eyes get dark and knew that was the source of their sadness.
"No." That was all she offered. Kevin wonder what was wrong with her parents.
"It was nice meeting you; I will see you around."Jesreen headed to her car. If she had looked back, she would have seen that Kevin was watching her and the rest of the guys were looking at Kevin.
"Kevin's smitten," Jonny teased and a laugh uproared.
"Whatever man, I don't even know the chick."
"But you would like to get to know her," Deon grinned. On that note, everyone said good night and went their separate way.

A/N
I decided to start putting my author's note at the end.
Just to let me know, there was no grammar error when Billy was asking if everyone was not going to order their ice cream... That's how he talks.
I know this chapter is short, but I will update again soon.
I also want to say thank you to Onecia4905 for your continual support.
