"Well, the last time I saw her, her eyes were not so sad. As a matter of fact, she looked pretty happy. Maybe she was thinking about you." Mrs. Henry could not help putting in.

"Yes, of late I notice that she sometimes has a tingle in her eyes." Keeping focus on what is important.
"But her sad days are still there."
"Why don't you invite her over for dinner."
"I will try, I try to get her out a few times, but she turned me down. I will try again."

"I feel in the mood to cook up a storm today. Let the guys all know that dinner will be served at 4 p.m."
"Ok Mom that means I have a few calls to make so, later," he kissed her on her cheek telling her thanks for giving him a happy childhood even long after he was no longer a child.
"You will always be my baby," she hugged him.

Kevin called the guys to let them know about dinner. Usually over the years, that invitation would be done by mouth as his mother would tell him about these Sunday dinners from earlier in the week so he would be able to tell them whenever or where wherever he sees them.

Kevin also called Mr. Reid and tell him about Jesreen's car, explaining the problem the best way he could with what information she gave him.

Mr. Reid said he was not planning to do any work today, but he could make an exception for a young lady in need of his assistance. Kevin called Jesreen to let her know what Mr. Reid said and asked if she wants him to come and pick her up now so she would be present when Mr. Reid look at the car. In case Mr. Reid has any questions, he would not answer.

He also told her that his mother invited over the guys for dinner, and she would like her to come for dinner as well. Jesreen was reluctant at first but gave in to Kevin's persuasion.

In that case, Kevin was not to come and pick her up as she had something to do. She had planned on doing them in the evening but instead, she was going to do them in the morning to make herself available for dinner. She told him she trusted his judgment with the car.

Secretly Jesreen was afraid that she would get bad news about the car and did not want to be face-to-face with anyone when she did.

She no longer had control of tears the way she had trained herself to after her mother's deportation. Kevin told her he would pick her up at 3 pm.

Jesreen spent most of the morning doing housework, she was relieved when Kevin call at about 10:30 letting her know he had good news for her.

"Mr. Reid said that the problem with your car was nothing bigger, the best part of the new is that he will be working on it for free of charge as a welcome-to-town jester. However, he won't be able to work on it until tomorrow, so you can pick it up after work.

I will be more than happy to pick you up to take you to work in the morning. What time are you going to work?" These were his exact words.

"That is good news. I was so worried that it would be in the garage for days and it would cost me a lot of money. Thank you so very much for taking care of it for me."
"No problem so what time are you going to work."
"Nine in the morning."
"Ok, I will see you at 3 this evening for dinner.
"Ok and thank you again."

Jesreen finished her housework in a better mood than she was earlier. She then read a little and took a nap. By 1 she was up and was trying to decide what to wear. She did not want anyone to see that she was pregnant until she gets a chance to tell Kevin.

She took out a white summer dress, also a part of her 17th Birthday Collection. It was covered with large sunflowers and small bright yellow sun faces with different facial expressions. She tried it on to make sure the bulge was not obvious.

It was not, but something as was. Her breasts and her hip look so much fuller than before she got pregnant. But then, nobody knows what she looks like before she was pregnant, so they won't know the difference.

She pulled her hair in a ponytail, put on a little makeup, and look and put on her loafers. She looks over herself wondering if she was overdoing it.
