- Does someone know some obstacle to celebrate this wedding?

Elton John wore a green corduroy jacket and a beret pulled down over his scarce red hair. It was 30 degrees, high up that amazing terrace and he conducted our ceremony with his usual grandiloquence although rivers of sweat trickled his forehead losing into his eyes camouflaged behind a pair of sunglasses. This time not excessively outrageous.

- What's that?

We turned around looking for that "that" but the only thing it could be heard was the buzzing of a bee. Probably Reginald needed a little bit of something, or maybe it was already into his nose and started to work out.

- It's nothing, Elton. Who would have something against this wedding? Come on, I want to dive into the swimming pool. Hurry up -Roger demanded impatient wrapping around Dominique's waist with his arm.

That was funny, commanding Elton John to be quick. Freddie had the brilliant idea his friend would be our particular priest but everyone welcomed warmly that proposition. Our wedding ended up turning into something too trascendental that weighed heavy over my shoulders. It turned me into an insomniac human being who spent from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., the timetable I was submitted to sleep since Queen were recording, with my wide-eyes trying to do everything but thinking.

We already had an appointment for our civil wedding in Montreux. It would be on 31st july. I was crossing out each calendar day. It was like a countdown to the scaffold. How could someone so in love with the other could suffer so much with that?

- I hope you've put on some sun cream. This sun stings.

In a try to relax and get some sleep, I had laid on the sunbed in the terrace. I only wore the lower part of my bikini and a giant sun hat covering my face. I sat up taking away my sunglasses. There she stood, Mary Austin's smiling and kind-hearted face, leaning over the glass door. I ran to her to melt myself in a warm embrace. In 1978 she was one of the people who was just right.

- Oh, for pity's sake. You are burning. Don't sunbathe a minute longer. You're grilled.

- I felt asleep. Lately I barely sleep.

- I can see it -she said brushing her fingertips along my dark bags-. You look pretty with bags but we gotta work out this. Come on.

- Where?

- Get dress. I've hired several sessions to get you fit. This hotel has some amazing relax facilities.

- What's the hurry?

- I'm in charge of getting you ready for... ehem, for a party.

- Phew, I'm not in the mood for parties. Tell Freddie I won't move from the room tonight.

- Oh, you will do, Elideth Polley. You'd better don't tell No Freddie so often or the drama will unleash.

- I'm gonna tell him No constantly.

Mary laughed heartily.

- Ok. It's your choice. But not today. Today you can't tell him No.

I swallowed hard peering down over Mary's blue eyes, her honest glance gave me some courage. Being by her side gave you a weird confidence. It looked like with her all the difficulties were not so many.
