Saarbrücken, Germany.

Ludwigsparkstadion.

18th august 1979.

- Why are you getting stuck on dying your hair even blonder? You put it green -I addressed to Roger as he was stepping into the dressing room.

- You are kidding.

Roger had a beautiful blonde and natural colour, I always thought that. But he was always striving to get it bleached to achieve that demi albino tone. This time had gotten out of hand.

- Do I look as I am kidding?

- I can't go out looking like this. Have you seen that wild audience out there?

Queen was at the head of the list in this festival in Germany along with Red Baron, Voyager, Lake, Molly Hatchet, The Commodores, Ten years later, Rory Gallagher. The Commodores couldn't finish their show dodging bottles just because they sounded so funk and r & b in a rock festival. Most of the fans came to see Rory Gallagher and Alvin Lee and they were not Queen fans.

- I'm afraid there's nothing you can do.

- Are you sure? You're coming up with some idea.

Which concept did Roger have about me? Did he think I kept a set of magic wands sticking into my bra whenever he spoiled anything?

- I got an idea.

- I knew you could come up with something.

- I can take the Wayne's clippers and shave off your hair. I would do it in a flash.

Yes, saying that even hurt me. Shaving off my crazy drummer's beautiful blonde hair, sorry, green hair. But that device belonging to the only bald headed roadie, was the only idea I came up with to save his hair disaster.

- It's not funny, Polley. I can't play drums like this. I will look like those assholes punkies.

Oh, god. Another diva show. Thank goodness it was just one concert and the tour wouldn't start till 20 november in Cork. I was unfit with those pre stage childish behaviour after the pause following the japanese tour. It didn't matter how many hours of road trips I spent with them. It felt always like walking around a fire, barefoot.

- You won't only have to play drums but also seeing Musikexpress magazine.

- You've said it to piss me off, haven't you?

- No, I'm saying because it's your job, darling.

- I won't talk to anybody looking like this.

- Rog, you are playing in front of just a few thousand of people. It's enough.

- Let Brian do it.

- Alright, I'm doing it. I don't mind -Brian agreed more into tuning his guitar and wishing secretly not making a fuss just before getting into stage.

- No way. Brian is always saving your ass, he won't do it now.

- What are you saying? I'm always doing interviews. Always.

- Well, I think this should be discussed.

- And why can't Freddie do it? With the excuse of taking care his voice, it's been ages since he had done an interview.

Just then Freddie stormed into and right away his eyes locked on his friend's hairy mess. He went up to him among laughter.
