I got to tell him that his wonderful and gentle intuition after that party of ticklings, was not quite right. I hid him too many things daily. And this was important for both of us. When he found out his gesture was unequivocally of dissatisfaction, sorrow and the disappointment was a feeling hard to take when it came to Freddie. When he wanted something he got it sooner or later. What if we didn't get it?

- You wanted it so much, right? -I couldn't help asking him stroking his naked arm.

- And you?

- You know I end up wanting whatever you want.

- Those words are sounding more beautiful than they really are.

- I could never be involved in something in which I didn't wholly believe. I also wanted it really badly.

- Maybe it's better leave our wild dreams aside and try not get obsessed with something that probably we won't be able to achieve.

- Don't say that. I'm sure we can, I'm sure... We've been only...

The tears began to choke my throat and struggled with all my heart but he looked so upset. Freddie throwing the towel was not a satisfying vision.

- Shhh, it's enough, my love. We got each other and maybe it's better this way -he assured me.

- You hate me for having told you before the show, don't you? I couldn't keep it secret any longer. I could never had imagined this could mean so much... I'm sorry for disappointing you.

- Eli, for God's sake. Don't get yourself like that. You didn't disappoint me. Hey, look at me. You didn't disappoint me.

- Are you sure?

Freddie poured over me that relentless look that seemed liquid caramel and I sniffed my nose, letting him to kiss me away those stubborn tears. I sighed over his chest leading my head there and placing vagrant pecks all over it.

- Besides, we are in your town -he said holding the back of my neck to raise my weary head to him-. I'm sure you have a lot of friends you haven't met since such a long time. Maybe it's the right moment to spend some days around here.

- You got double show the day after tomorrow at Manchester. I can't stay here, I got a lot of work to do. Do you want to lose sight of me?

- Darling, I am your boss. If I'm telling you you can stay some days, you can.

More than 14.000 people turned that Birmingham show into the largest ever indoor concert in Britain at the time. It was a record as it was also the night before in Dublin when they gathered around 8.500 people.

The show was amazing. Even the technic failures here and there, the lyrics mistakes, some broken string. Everything had such a success glow that particularly electric night.

Freddie went out to the encore climbed over our particular Superman's shoulders and played Crazy little thing called love, We are the champions and We will rock you to finish wonderfully that show. The atmosphere was so joyful that a bunch of fans joined by several NEC staff and started to dance the conga.

I don't know if it had been a good idea pouring my heart out to Freddie before the show but he performed beautifully. It wasn't something new to him, whenever something failed, that wild strenght inside drove him into bringing out his full potential. And he gave it all to their devoted fans.

His eyes glowed more than ever, his voice sounded wonderfully powerful and all through the tour would keep it that way. It would be surely the tour in which his voice was at its prime.
